PVP Jumping

Hello everyone. I do not know if pvp jumping was discussed here, I stopped going to the forum a long time ago, I only watch presentations on twitch and videos on YouTube. Every time I watch a pvp video in ashes of creation on YouTube, absolutely all players click the space button. As a result, there are 10-20 people on the screen who jump endlessly, all the players just press space space space. It looks really bad((
Another moment on the schedule. I would like to see a darker fantasy, so to speak, otherwise everything is so rosy. But it's not critical. As it turned out, so it will be..

You think people having fun looks bad?
you know what I mean)
No, I don't.
You have an issue with people jumping around in game, when all those people are doing is having some fun. Thus, it seems to me that you have an issue with people having fun.
However, it is my assumption that you have no intention of saying you have an issue with people having fun, which is why I do not, in fact, know what you mean.
I too enjoyed this toy when I was 1.
And there are people that enjoy jumping around with friends.
So, it's a matter of whose fun is more important - or a matter of whose fun is most impacted.
Are the people jumping around having their fun having more fun doing that than the amount of fun the few sour puss posters that complain about it are losing? Which option results in the most fun being had in Ashes?
I have no opinion on that either way, I have no way of knowing and so refuse to form an opinion on the matter (an uninformed opinion is worthless, I would rather stay open minded until I have a foundation with which to form an opinion on).
I am simply reframing the point so that those few people complaining about it can get an understanding of the other side of the argument, and perhaps then understand why nothing happens about it - should that be what Intrepid decide to do.
Blown past falling sands…
If people think others jumping around in the game ruins their immersion, what are they going to think when players are running (or jumping) around on that?
Totally get the concern, seeing everyone spam the spacebar in PvP can start to look silly. But remember this is a fantasy game, not a simulation. Jumping is simply part of the fun and rhythm of combat. I’ve been watching and playing Alpha PvP for a while, and everyone’s been doing it since early tests, so it’s not just now.
Implementing a stamina cost on jumps feels like an overcorrection. People already use jumping to dodge or reposition, and it doesn’t give a major advantage like true bunny-hopping. Plus, jumping is basic movement, not something that needs punishing.
So if players want to jump, let them jump. We don’t need to add stamina costs for something that just adds expression and avoids giving any real benefit. A bit of chaos in fantasy combat isn’t a bad thing, it’s part of the style.
This keeps it straightforward, balanced, and reminds everyone it’s about fun, not realism.
