Character Loading Screen Changes

So before i start ethis post I recognise this screen is really low priority and not really important in the grand scheme of things.
Firstly does anyone know why it changed in the last patch, i didnt see any notes about this.
Before the last patch my characters were ordered in the sequence that i created them. First character and my main character on the left with second and third to the right of these. SInce the new patch the order has been randomised. My second character is now to the left then my third and main to the right in that order. Which makes no sense.
Also what makes no sense is why time has been spent to change the order. Would this be a result of something else and not intended, or perphaps an attempt to fix something that wasnt right previosly. Which i would welcome as this screen has been bugging me for a while, but as i said in my first sentance its not really a priority right now.
Previously the annoying thing with this screen was your first character which in most cases for everyone would be the main character was never ready to select at the start of the game and that always went to the last character meaning you had to selct your main each time when first starting the game.
What i would like to see
The character you last logged in with on the left side and selected ready to log in again. If another character used this then becomes the character furthest left ready to select. And so on. This would mean if you log our, crash etc your last logged in charactrer is ready to go, just hit start. Also you most used characters/alt are visable in the list.

Mine seems to be in alphabetical order.
But yeah, am still trying to get used to it. I keep clicking where my main character is, and finding the random nobody Cleric I made and ignored, instead! hahaha
Or maybe a list that you can re-order to whichever order you prefer?
That would work too.
Just make the list on the right moveable so you can drag and drop the names in the order you want.
Now you say this mine was the same. I deleted my character that was second in the list as it was an alt that could easily be restarted and now its at the end and the characters no longer in alphabetical order. So its not a new piece of code sorting it the A-Z but seems to have been a one off action perhaps while they tinkered with something else in this part of the game.
