NPC towns

I like the idea of nodes especialy the fact that the mayor can unlock end-game crafting stations. I don't like the fact that the environement change with it tho and i think they went a little wild on the systems that are bind to another it's scary to think the mess it must be to work on it (maybe they can try to create more simple systems)

My point is not about the node tho, what i suggest and i would like to have your opinions on it is to add Lore accurate NPC towns. Every good fantasy world have memorable citys and node are not memorable citys. so i think those npc towns could have some crafting stations a local bank some services like that but not the best crafting stations. Those towns could be the place you grab some good instanced quests leading to instanced dungeon with cutscenes (if they still plan to have some instanced content). I think the bad quests scattered around the world could be remove and just focus on few good quest that are actualy fun to do and rewarding.

I have a lot of idea on things that could be tied to those NPC towns but i want to stay on the subject.
I don't know if maybe the nodes should instead be inside of citys like in BDO but i think having only "boring" nodes as citys (i know at some point they will look kinda ok but come one never as good as a fully designed by hand fantasy town with history) could be disappointing.

Maybe the core of the city could be like an NPC town fully designed by hand and the village around it, could be the "node" don't know there is room for ideas.

There are Lionhold and Samia's Hope right now, and there will be some more.

There will be more starting towns/villages for the other zones. Not everyone is going to be starting in Lionhold at launch. I don't think there will be any towns/villages to the scale you're talking about. And these starting areas won't hold much value beyond being a tutorial really. I guess as some extra storage...? I don't think there'll be any towns/villages that you'll be able to use in place of a Node.

I'm looking forward to a dynamic world. A world that changes as Nodes rise and fall seeing the content around them change will be a fresh take on the stale static worlds that mmos are known for. I do see value in solid PvE content, to include instanced dungeons and raids. Open world dungeons just get zerged. PvP in them can be fun, but in general there's little reward for engaging in PvP right now, beyond just PvPing for the sake of it, with the burden of debt and repairs... My worry a lot of people are going to want some solid instanced content and there won't be enough, once they go through it they won't stick around for the "PvP endgame" without any "PvE endgame" to consume. From what I can gather game is going to be (at end game) 80% PvP and 20% PvE. Where this PvE is there only as a time sink for the PvP.

If we have some persistent small towns like Lionhold, with storage, repairs and some vendors, that's like NPC space in eve's nullsec, a place where you can stay while you're in transit.
We won't get something like Giran or Aden in Lineage 2, though, big, NPC-run cities.

Of course, we really need all the additional architecture styles for nodes, else everywhere will be Winstead.

You just haven't yet seen the Tier of Node that would be 'memorable' for most people.

They're coming, and by the nature of the game, we're going to see the world change, but not so incredibly fast or so much that most players won't experience Nodes as a consistent, memorable thing.

I'd take bets on certain City (Tier 5) Nodes on certain Servers literally never falling, or at least lasting more than 4 years.
    Stellar Devotion.
