SteamDeck and playing Ashes on the Go

HEY! GUESS WHAT! Playing Ashes on a handheld is a thing!

I did it today!

Yes, there are actually a few ways to do so. But here is the easy mode for those who don't want to work hard for it.

You install a program called Steam Link to your computer (windows or mac) here:

On your Steam Deck (or other handheld running Steam OS or Android, yes this includes cellphones) use your installer of choice (the built in on SteamDeck is fine) *it is on Play Store and Apple App Store*

Once you have Steam Link on both devices - when you go to set it up, you'll go to your Steam client settings, navigate to the Remote Play section, and select "Pair Steam Link," then enter the PIN displayed in the app to confirm the connection. (on each device so you can control both ways)

That's it. Once paired open steam link on the Deck (better in desktop mode) and voilà - you can use the SteamDeck to control your PC at home... and thus play Ashes on the go!
*I use a dock for the SteamDeck and have a mouse/Keyboard and external monitor hooked to it.*

This works on Android and iOS phones, and the SteamDeck. I do not have other handhelds to test.. but theoretically, should work just fine! Works great for me from my work place (though yes, I do have VERY good internet speeds at work and at home, which is a factor)

HAVE FUN!

Don't forget to tell players that you won't be doing any competitive or "sweaty" content on SteamDeck, Thantophobi.

Open world raiding, sieges, legendary bosses ... those activities will be off the table (even with sparkling internet).

However, it is great for casual gameplay and doing commissions, for example.
