Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Phase III testing has begun! During this phase, our realms will be open every day, and we'll only have downtime for updates and maintenance. We'll keep everyone up-to-date about downtimes in Discord.

If you have Alpha Two, you can download the game launcher here, and we encourage you to join us on our Official Discord Server for the most up to date testing news.

there needs to be a way to limit the amount of players in town to many of them is lagging the town

so much for 500 players on screen at once...

It's not just the people. It's the dynamic buildings not being cooked into the world like they are in other mmos. Think about Pax, the more people built the worse performance got. They got some performance things to work out for sure with the Nodes.

Yeah I don't think it's the people, it's definitely the nodes them self, I am not sure the design process but it feels like every single brick in a node is just another thing my PC has to render, the performance is absolutely terrible and realistically intrepid should think about updating the minimum specs required to run this game, as others pointed out this game will literally destroy low end PCs and that is not okay

I seem to be fine in every node except Winstead. Server Workers 48 and 33 seem to really really struggle.

I think the Community needs to ask Sir Steven and Intrepid about when that cool Server-System is ready - and if it is used already -> and if it needs a bit more use/time to be stabilized, etc. etc. etc. etc. ... ...

At this Point i am starting to "completely" lose Oversight over how far the Game truly is, in Development. No, honestly. I am not kidding. I am about to completely lose the thread and the train of thought.

Anything that isn't visual is gonna be handled by the CPU, like an RTS game with a lot of actors on screen at one time, ashes too will require a solid CPU to handle the player load without killing your frame rate. I haven't had an issues running through large mobs of people unless the lag is server sided from congestion. Anyone who is experiencing bad performance I would like to know what your running as far as your CPU goes.

While your at it let us turn off the dumb ass tree physics. It does nothing but make the game look like kickstarter slop.

Edited because the "R" word for dumb ass is not blocked.

This is the only game which somehow manages to exhaust my RTX 4080's VRAM on 1080p....I often crash when entering the Winsted market area.

Winstead's a crash zone, for sure.

Small Divagation -> " Miraleth " is the only Node with a Look of it's own, isn't it ?

Because it needed to be like that, for that one Monthly Presentation and Showcase where a Caravan travelled from Winstead to Miraleth ... ... ... :D

Am i super-naive at this Point - when i still hope Nodes will look different from each other in the final 1.0. Version or at least sometime later afterwards in the Years to come ?

I am pretty sure some of the nodes "settlements"™ in the tropics and anvils are unique. Maybe.
