Since we are coming to STEAM
Question is: When steam EA starts, could we connect our accounts with Steam so we are able to launch and update through Steam? Nothing personal, but Intrepid launcher is realy garbage. Having 4k euro PC and its lagging AF when updating since Alpha 1

Do you mean you still need Intrepid's launcher or do you mean I won't get a game key to add Ashes to my Steam library if I have Alpha access?
If it's the former, that's okay, it is to be expected to have to use Intrepid's launcher.
If it's the latter, this has to be reconsidered. What about people who have funds in their Steam Wallets and would like to use them to buy the cosmetics mentioned in the latest Development Update (more revenue)? What about people who care about Steam hours played and/or show their friends what they're playing (free marketing)? What about people who would like to try to play Ashes on their Steam Deck/Machine or similar (even if it probably won't run)? What about the higher numbers in the charts of players online you will miss on (this can be very important)?
There is no way that the amount of work needed to let people who have Alpha/Beta access to also play through Steam will add extra complexity or take much longer to do than the work to launch Ashes on Steam in the first place will, because Steam users will be forced to create an Intrepid account. In other words, when somebody buys the game on Steam, their Intrepid account will give them access to play the game, therefore when I link my Steam account to my Intrepid account with Alpha 2 access, I should get a Steam game key to add Ashes to my Steam library.
Unless allowing Alpha/Beta players to play through Steam involves a lot of extra work (which most likely isn't the case) OR Steam does not let you give keys to existing game "owners" (which I hope is not the case), then this is such a poor decision it must be reconsidered sooner rather than later.
Will Intrepid consider giving existing players a Steam key?
Technically they are for sales already made, but I can appreciate that there's things like book-keeping, Steam sales (having to buy the keys for themselves, essentially), and other potential issues that might make it a non-solution.
In the end existing user expect to have their existing accounts linked to Steam so they can play through Steam. No way to sugar-coat that.
It's fine if that takes time to fix but the expectations are there.
So if intrepid says that they cant do it it will be because steam wont let them do it. Intrepid wants happy customers so either they work out a deal with steam or steam says let them eat cake they must buy it from us to get a key!
Prove Me wrong I dare you!
No, this pretty likely what it boils down to. Intrepid wants a deal where existing customers just get a Steam key but Steam might be greedy and say give us 30% of $50 for every user you have.
That's a point. If everybody's buying from Steam, are our Referral Keys still going to be recognised?
