SteamOS continues to grow, and Valve has some impressive new hardware on the horizon. Plenty of people are also running SteamOS on standard PC builds. With the Ashes of Creation pre-release coming to Steam, I’m wondering whether Valve/Steam might be willing to work with the developers to ensure AoC runs well on the platform. With new hardware launching soon, it seems like a strong opportunity for both sides.
Thanks.
Also, Steven mentioned there's a potential of 1 million concurrent players (I don't have a source, but I think it was either in a livestream or a CC interview). He also mentioned Linux users are less than 1% of their player base. (https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Platforms). If we take as example a total of 0,5% of the player base, do the math, and you get the number of 5,000 players using Linux. Imo it's non-negligible, specially at launch a realm will have a 10k players capacity. But in reality, we don't know how exactly we get non-Windows users. 1k ? 2k? 5k? Only Intrepid knows.
