Got money to burn? Buy now.
Or
Wait 9 day and save.
Productions servers (I think) are getting a wipe. At least fresh start realms. Right now they are honestly pretty dead, people are waiting for the wipe/steam release.
So you could get on now, and play around, but no progress will be saved. After leveling all classes to 15+ some to 25 multiple times. It gets old pretty quick.
So if you got money to burn, itching to test and see what Ashes is all about first hand. Buy now.
But the game isn't complete, many things are tedious and not fun. There are features missing still. Incomplete zones, empty feel, performance issues, and so on. There's balance issues, bugs, ect. It's Alpha, even Steam EA the game will still be in Alpha.
I recommend waiting until Beta. Even you've tested games in Alpha before, this isn't quite the same. You're not really testing, you're just playing the game and generating some data for them. Yeah you can report bugs, but most bugs you come across are going to be bugs that'll be fixed in Beta.
But the steam ea isn't a bad deal, I've spent 50 dollars on shit games that i've played less than I've played Ashes.
Hope that helps.
if you really wanna test and help shape the game immediatly plus you dont mind spending double the money. then ofc just go.
in the end its up to you
