Simple request, please make melodies a buff without a continuous channel that can be interrupted in many different ways. Keep the 2 second channel, but drop the continuous one. The class has too many longer channeled spells that over punish them in cc. To get to your output in any form after you get knocked down, interrupted, or cc’d you must reset. That reset when facing heavy pressure is Shield(channel cast), serenity (heal (channel), mana regen/dances (of the dances only 2 of the 7 are not channeled). ALL of that was to save yourself and build resonance stacks, now start your melody to utilize your class fantasy, pop your attack speed buff (2second channel), hit your finishers to spend or fortismo (channel).
Dunir humanoid mobs in PVE made this painfully obvious up north.
In PVP playing against anyone who knows this class (which will soon be many) feels terrible as it’s almost impossible to get back from an average cc timed hit in pvp. This is due to the 10 seconds of channeled ramp up listed above to get back in the fight.
I think making melody buffs cc protected still leave important cc targets, like serenity for cc to make player skill important to know what to play around. In its current form it is too easy to play against. For all classes reading this, wait until a Bard auto’s at you with a melody up, and cc. Then win due to the 10 seconds of no counter pressure and then repeat the cc when they auto again.
