These are the update notes for changes to the Alpha Two that went to testers on Thursday, June 12, 2025

As a reminder, if you come across bugs during Alpha Two testing, please report them to us in-game using /bug


KNOWN ISSUES
  • We're aware of reports of issues with Processing and rarity, and the team is actively investigating issues with Processing now
  • Node Wars and Node Sieges have been disabled. We’re working on a fix for these that will go out as soon as it’s available
  • Accessibility options are not being applied correctly when changing settings in this new options category
  • Items sold from your storage to vendors at Nodes will have a price of 0 gold
  • Caravan Request Beacons recent changes are not correct on the tooltips. ZOI adjacency rules don't always line up with what is shown in the map
  • Citizenship due grace period is not working correctly, and citizenship is being lost immediately if dues aren’t paid by the day they’re due
  • Rooting Ball and starting crafting items have processing batch sizes that are a larger number than intended
  • Caravel ship launch radius at the Sandsquall River Harbor has bugs that make it more difficult to deploy ships here
  • Caravel ship potion launchers deal no damage while ships are in some areas of The Turquoise Sea
  • Shellshock Shores event does not spawn the reward chest at the end of this event


ALPHA TWO UPDATE NOTES 0.12.0 - THURSDAY, JUNE 12, 2025

WORLD
  • The Jundark Trading Post has been removed. Caravans and storage remaining here has been moved to the Vinebreach Node. Materials will become available once Vinebreach reaches Expedition (Node stage 1), and Cargo and Caravans will become available once Vinebreach reaches Village (Node stage 3)

CHARACTER, ARCHETYPES & COMBAT
  • Characters can no longer move faster than intended by jumping after using movement abilities
  • Ranger Salvo ability will stop correctly when a character is out of mana, instead of doing no damage while the animation continued
  • Ranger Regeneration ability now gives the correct amount of regeneration, which is 100 per character level
  • Rogue Shadow Step should no longer get characters stuck inside and under the terrain
  • Tank Grapple can no longer be cancelled immediately, in a way that allowed it to do damage but not use mana or have a cooldown
  • Tank Grapple - Fixed an issue that allowed this ability to generate significant threat
  • Abilities like Ball Lightning and Magma Field will hit non-combatant characters correctly for people who use the “Include Untargeted Non-Combatants with Area of Effect Abilities” option
  • Bard Melody visual effects will stop when a Bard using these gets on a mount or drives a vehicle

CARAVANS & SHIPS
  • Caravel ships in deep water are now able to be recovered
  • Caravan Masters no longer have placeholder dialogue text

ECONOMY & ARTISANSHIP
  • Artisan Tools can now be crafted and traded like other gear, and will no longer become equipped automatically. Characters can only switch which tools they have equipped while inside of a Node
  • Processing Stations no longer have set batch size options. Instead, characters can now freely set any processing batch size to any value from 1 to the recipe's maximum size. Want to process a batch of 6 zinc fragments? Now you can!

NODES & FREEHOLDS
  • All known issues preventing Jundark Freeholds from being purchasable or accessible have been fixed. Removed two Freeholds which were in a bad state
  • Mail notifications have been added to tell people when they have citizenship dues
  • Jundark Node mayors can now purchase temporary flying mounts from the Mayor Reputation Vendor
  • With Mayoral Power Comes Mayoral Responsibility quest has some updated text, to better direct new mayors
  • Node Siege declaration banners have been fixed for Brinebarrel, Korrin, Seahook, Shorefoot, and Windansea

QUESTS, EVENTS & COMMISSIONS
  • The Journey of Al'Ashal quest has been added to the Sandsquall Desert. Happy hunting!
  • Sandsquall Desert now has three new events: Warbler Warding, Beneath the Crimson Standard, and Flooded Reaches Feast
  • Riverlands now has three new events: Abandoned Attacks, Rotten Ripple, and Zephyr Ambush
  • Horns of the Betrayers - Fixed a bug that prevented characters from looting the quest items needed to complete this quest
  • Sandsquall Desert Commissions and Mayoral Commissions have had their level changed, to better match the difficulty of enemies they ask people to fight
  • Scalebreaker Alligators can be found in the Jundark, and killing them counts towards the competition of Thick-Hide Threat, Jaws of Stone, and Scale-Crusher Commissions
  • Torporcap Mycellion enemy kills will now count correctly towards Whispers of Sleep, The Fungal Chant, and Torpor Bloom Commissions
  • Rustic Rumbles - This event will properly have a reward chest when completed
  • Welcome to the Larder - Swordsmen Remains can now be found in the area for this quest
  • Sealed From Sanctus - Fixed a bug that prevented characters from making progression with this quest, when they had other quests from Tizon Redblade
  • Cleaning the Books - Emiguel Lefeuvre NPC should no longer get stuck in the ceiling, preventing characters from interacting with him and making progress on this quest
  • Toxic Temptation - Fixed a bug that prevented some characters from starting this quest
  • Ceaseless Cackles - Reduced the number of enemy kills needed to complete this Commission
  • The Lonely Shrine - The Cryptmonger NPC for this quest now has the correct nameplate, and icons on the map
  • An Unsightly Feast - This Commission has been updated, and the objective marker should point people to the correct location
  • Built on Blood - This quest should now show the correct location for speaking with Martin Swift
  • Road to Joeva - This quest now has better hints for optional objectives
  • A New Order - Goblins during this questline should no longer drop “useless junk”
  • Put to Rest, Again - Corrected text errors with this quest

USER INTERFACE
  • Reset to default in options is now separate for each options menu page
  • Inventory will automatically resize to show the content of bags. This can be manually adjusted by dragging the bottom right corner of the window
  • Show Chat Time Stamps (in Options under Community → Chat) will display the time when a message was sent
  • Items linked in chat will show the proper tooltip with item quality, durability, and enchantment
  • Items linked in chat should no longer be filtered by the word filter
  • Items can now be linked from equipped items
  • Skills from the Skill Tree, Skill Book, Node Skill Tree, and Guild Skill Tree can now be linked in chat
  • Interacting with the chat window should no longer interrupt movement. Exceptions to this are chat dropdowns and the typing field
  • When clicking on a character’s name in chat to bring up the menu, it will now have the character’s name you’ve clicked at the top of this menu
  • Fixed a bug that prevented people from clicking on the whisper dropdown menu
  • Fixed a bug where some UI windows would remain open and characters could interact with them, while a character was dead
  • The character menu should no longer have a visual gap between some stats
  • Looting icons have been updated
  • Damage type icons have been updated

GENERAL
  • Bugs with the Halcyon, Miraleth, and Hecribba Embersprings have been fixed
  • Breezewater Bay Harbor staff has pushed back the wildlife that were wandering through the port
  • Grass movement visual effects will no longer be shown at a distance. This change is to improve game performance
