You might find this helpful – here’s a solution that another player shared which worked for them:
I FINALLY FIXED my GPU crashes (every 30 to 60 minutes) yesterday. Zero crashes since my fix in over 20 hours of gameplay.

I increased NVIDIA Shader Cache to 100GB,
I deleted the default 4GB NVIDIA shader cache,
I made a NVIDIA Manage 3D Settings profile for ashes and set max FPS to 60 and GPU to max performance,
I repaired Ashes from the Launched,
In game I also capped FPS at 60, set Anti Aliasing to low and ran settings at Medium across the board,

Now, instead of hitting 15+ GB of VRAM utilization and eventually getting the GPU crash, I usually see GPU VRAM comitted at less than 11GB.

i absolutely had an explicit out of VRAM memory error a few times due to Ashes after a patch in early September, so I'm quite confident that something related to shaders and either Ureal Engine, Ashes itself, or the NVIDIA driver changed and causes this crash. Good luck!

I would agree with you, but then we would both be wrong.
