Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Phase III testing has begun! During this phase, our realms will be open every day, and we'll only have downtime for updates and maintenance. We'll keep everyone up-to-date about downtimes in Discord.

If you have Alpha Two, you can download the game launcher here, and we encourage you to join us on our Official Discord Server for the most up to date testing news.

Alpha2 keys also get early access or only beta?

I need some clarification, what if someone has only the Alpha2 key? (those were given in a bunch of lotteries and in twitch chat). Do you still get the steam early access or you need to buy in to keep playing?

From what I read on Steam and forum it sounds like this is still an alpha "Alpha Two is joining Steam Early Access" and "What is the current state of the Early Access version? - “Ashes of Creation is currently in active alpha testing". But from what I heard in the livestream it sounded like only the beta key owners get early access?vy3ucecj85dp.png

We are still in Alpha Two and nothing about your access changes with us expanding to Steam.

That said, you don't "get" Steam early access if you mean the ability to install and play on Steam. You would still use the Intrepid client.

I see, so I still keep the access to the game just not from Steam. That's what I wasn't sure about if after December 11 I can still login to the servers or have to buy it on Steam.

What about cosmetics sold on Steam? I want to link my Steam and Intrepid accounts and use my Steam Wallet to buy cosmetics for my account with Alpha 2 access. Will it not be possible to link both my existing Steam and Intrepid accounts so that I get access to play Ashes through Steam and also buy cosmetics during EA (and subscription time in the future)?

This won't be possible right now. You would need to purchase the game on Steam to be able to purchase cosmetics through Steam. You can purchase cosmetics through our website for your existing account.
