Re: [EU] Dark Reavers (PvX) - UK Based Gaming Community Est. 1999
Another bump from a happy member of the guild, joined pre Guild Wars 2 beta and I've never looked back. Even after an extended absence I was welcomed back like nothing had changed, cannot recommend this guild enough. As others have said we have a great mix of people, each with their own personal goals for Ashes which… -
Re: Let's chat about the (the future) mechanics of the caravan system
@hazardnumberseven Theres 2 aspects you haven't mention here* If you've ever played EVE or Darkfall or other games with heavy PvP focus, you'll find that people are willing to put in HOURS of searching for a tiny bit of pvp. If its possible, it will be done. * To add to the previous point, people will flag as a faction for… -
Re: How does node's level up in game?
No, but there are visual cues. Once the node becomes level 2 the type becomes apparent from npcs in the camp. Soldiers in military, merchants in economic, priests in economic and scholars in scientific. Architecture from level 3 up is based on the race that gave the greatest contributions to node levelling that phase.… -
Re: What makes me aggro in every mmorpg?
For me, while it isn't game ruining for me if they do do it, I would want levels to matter in the PVP zones around caravans and during sieges. I don't know what their plans are but I have seen games in the past either ignore, set a cap or dampen the level difference between players in a zone. I wouldn't mind the latter 2… -
Re: LIMITED - PAX Exclusive Alpha Package
Man, I really need to start selling "Solar-Powered Clothes Dryer System" on Craigslist again. I would price em at $40 and they would fly out the door. Naturally there were some people who were upset when they received the $2 coil of rope I would send them with instructions to string it between two trees outdoors. Sales had… -
Re: No "Bad Guy" Main Class Type
Good and bad may not be the right choice of words, but I would expect diametrically opposed abilities. Seems appropriate to reflect that with diametrically opposed skill sets...aka classes. The whole point of classes is to segregate skills sets anyway. Thus classes were always associated with specific attribute focus that… -
Re: Explorer Backer
Yeah I'll probably upgrade this Thursday. Anyhow I keep a eye on development of the game through YouTube. I used to not be able to use the website all that well on my S7 for some weird reason but now the site works perfectly and flawlessly. This game has me even dabbling with Unreal Engine. I have been currently playing… -
Re: @intrepid email notification for node seige
They have said that some notifications will get pushed to via the mobile app that gets deployed after launch. Given that no siege can insta pop, you always have at least the following: Village 2 Days Town 3 Days City 4 Days Metro 5 Days notification before a Siege. I'm sure that Discords will pop up for each server and… -
Re: Heritage Quest or a similar system
The idea of similar quests to EQ2's heritage quests is something I'm hoping for - but since those quests were a way to find items that were of legendary status (actual proper use of the term - not just an item tag) in the original EQ, I don't see how we could have quite the same thing in Ashes. Maybe in the future if we… -
Re: Lore as the game goes on.
I agree. Lore and back story is one of the most important things in a game especially a mmorpg. That's why i have been able to play a game like World of Warcraft for almost 12 years none stop. The lore from Warcraft 1, 2, and 3. All the protagonist and antagonist, and there story on why they are evil or why they are good.…
