The only way something like this could happen (looking specifically at specialized resources and such), is if you didn't have access to those resources without the map. At this point though, you are buying access to the resources, not the map.

The only way I can see maps in general being something players care about is if the area of game had a simulated mechanic for getting lost, that a map can prevent - something like a desert or ocean where the locations of various points of interest are randomized without a map, but guaranteed with one. You could set this so that the quality of a player made map reduces the randomization rather than prevent it - so with an average quality map you know an oasis or ruin is nearby, but you don't know exactly where.

I did not really play p2.5 but I heard TTK was fixed, however I logged in yesterday morning and did a couple of duels with the TTK being about 3 seconds? The same as phase 1, is this a new thing

Once outfits/transmogs are in the game please have an option to turn if off from a players perspective so we can tell what armor people are actually wearing.

When you say, what if I'm an Orc but want to look like an Elf and I want my Eagle set to be the Elf representation? Well the issue becomes there that Orcs have a different organic model. You know, their body is different than that of the Elf. So, from a scope-creep standpoint, it's one thing to add different influences that represent the cultures that are donning the armor; it's another thing to adapt each influence as a matrix that can be worn pretty much by everything. From a scope perspective, that's a very difficult task for the character artists to tackle.
