Re: So you think you want to restore a treasure map...
You could always just interact with other players. Its a mmo after all. Pay someone to restore your map. Buy materials from others, trade them yours. Work together. One person should not be able to solo a mmo. And if you don't like that, too bad.
And if solo player design wins, then so be it. Ill go play something else.
Reasons not to play AOC
- Bots, this problem is just ridiculous. They steal resources from actual players, they effect the economy. the other problem is, it is allowable to kill a player and loot their items, however kill a bot loot their items and get banned. So botting is encouraged. Hmm.
- Crafting is ridiculous. the amount of materials needed to craft a item is out of line. for example to craft a Scaldplate radiant chest piece you will need 152 coppers, one piece of armor. Now if you want to craft it in any rarity consider the time spent farming the materials, thats not including the other materials needed. Also the limits on apprentice, journeyman, and master are terrible.
- Stability, and lag spikes. This is unacceptable for a game that has been in development as long as this one. I understand it is a Alpha, however stability should be a number one concern. getting timed out while mining, lumberjacking, or just traveling is bad.
- Why do I have to hide my helmet, cape every time I log in, or relog because I was disconnected, timed out? Bad QOL.
These are issues that should not exist in a quality game like AOC is trying to be. There should be active in game GM's that could directly address some of these issues. I really want to like this game.
The game's balance system is basically non-existent. The following issues urgent
- There is a severe imbalance between classes when it comes to mob grinding, Warriors are head andshoulders above others right from the startthey can AoE 15 goblins in the newbie zone at Level 4, a featimpossible for other classes. Their solo grinding capability in the late game is far beyond the reach of anyother class. Archers play like complete jokes, with nothing but useless skills; all those fancy jumpinganimations are nothing but flashy fluff. Summoners' pets are mind-numbingly stupid and lack anysemblance of Al.
- The crafting difficulty of the three equipment types is grossly unbalanced. Spawn points for tamableanimals are extremely uneven-some areas have dense spawns that attract hordes of players, while mostareas have few or even no spawns at all. This makes the entire process from hunting to leatherworking gearcrafting excessively challenging.
- Food with quality bonuses comes with exorbitant costs, a cumbersome crafting process and huge timeinvestment, but the bonus effects are barely noticeable. Meanwhile, the market fails to offer reasonableprofits, making it pointless to waste a ton of gold and time on crafting them.
- There's a severe shortage of mobs and dungeons. As time goes by, everyone ends up enslaved by life skillsGathering, mining, logging, fishing, hunting--doing these repetitive tasks day in and day out is just likehaving a full-time job in the game.

Re: Bot named Pouea warrior lvl17, using bot since south of joeva
Meapps, these bots don’t have normal names and the influx of them in one spot is almost impossible to sit there and open a ticket per bot, if you we could just add a tab of “report player” on the drop down menu it won’t take up our own playing time trying to do something as simple as reporting these bots for cheating

Re: When Will We Get Housing
I mean, Archeage was a sandbox game and the primary influence for Ashes, yet every player could get hold of land in that game with only a small amount of effort.
This being a sandbox game is not an excuse for poor design

Re: When Will We Get Housing
even if they come you will never get one ,only toxic zerg guilds will have them and all you will get is a small NY apartment so you can slave away at the systems and pay its over priced rent
