Re: Severe Performance Issues
Ive been looking for answers as well. I found a recommendation to install Lagofast, it shows your constant ping to the server and it showed Im suffering major lag spikes and some packet loss. However I am in Australia. I connected the software to a different game to North America and it wasnt pretty either. I havent jumped in and tried that game yet. Type getfree in the trial download and it gives you 50 hours use without signup. I thought it might be my laptop (which has a 4060 card), then my internet, all tested ok and drivers up to date. I seen a streamer in Sydney 2-3 weeks ago? and his gameplay was fairly smooth. I thought it was more playable initially, so perhaps something has changed. I only started in Alpha 2. Just thought Id share my experience.
That might make sense, actually. I am currently stationed overseas in South Korea. I don't really have much of a problem with this outside of Call of Duty, so I never even considered that it would make my performance THAT bad here in Ashes of Creation.
I will try Exitping when I can and test the theory out. I know some games, like Black Desert Online, drops performance dependent on your internet quality, so could be plausible.

I never like these mechanics. ESO was terrible, nothing felt like progression. FFXIV felt cheap too. Level gaps between friends and groups isn't really the games problem, it's more the friends problem. Anytime a game tries to fix it, it just cheapens the game IMO. I get the point though, I've mostly found myself playing catch up to my friends due to my work schedules. A lot of times they'd make alts to come back and play with us slow pokes. When I find myself on the speedy side I do the same.

I'm inclined to doubt the veracity of this statement. What makes a mega guild? Lots of players.
That being understood, what affects mega guilds affects lots of players. Shouldn't lots of players care about things that affect them?
Most things that affect Mega guilds don't really affect anyone else. Things like reducing the number of artisanship that can be maxed out while have almost no affect on large guilds, because if their access to large numbers. Has a huge impact on smaller guilds and solo players, especially in a game which has 22 different professions.
Mega guilds already bypass most of the "restrictions" that other people have to deal with. Focusing on more features which give them an even greater advantage enabling them to dominate them even more.

There are a bunch of 19-20 1* bears between Joeva and Halcyon and there are the 2* and 3* mobs south of Seph that are 15-17ish. I think the rules for 9 levels are flexible with star rating because I farmed a rare drop off of a 2* level 3 mob when I was like 15.

I agree. Skinwalkers is such a cool mount, but I have not seen a single soul use it.... For obvious reasons.

Sorry, haven't checked back in awhile. I was Flag/Phlegm the putrid on AC, Abe Bonebreaker on DAOC, and then was Horror on WOW when we had the guild there. Was trying to see if we had enough members to start up the old HOS on here.
