Also the appeal of Arena
- Fast paced game mode using team work to counter your enemies using skill and team coordination
- Smaller scale controlled PvP with no outside influence
- More notice of individual skill rather than sitting in big groups playing loot simulator
- Ranked competitive system
- Unique rewards to flex skill and efforts achieved
- Leaderboard (no need to say more)
- E-Sports opportunity (not needed until much later)
- Pushing your class to the limits in a controlled environment
- End game competitive mode instead of running around looking for a random to fight out in the open world
- No Corruption risk
- Unique Titles & Cosmetics
- Playing as a team with your mates
- Motivation to master your class and work better as a team
- Inspiration when watching others compete and seeing how they play there class in an Arena
- Clutch plays (if you have had heart throbbing 1v3 games or where it was down to you to win it for your team to get the rating you will understand)

Yes 13 million player subscriptions in WOTLK were because of culture and not the content 🤦🏻♂️
Everyone I have ever spoken to has said it was the best expansion hands down, PvE and PvP

Im yet to understand why AoC can’t take the best of MMO’s and implement them
Apex Legends brought out resurrection of downed team mates in br
Fotnite then took this and put it in there game

No, RBGs came back out in cata, literally the following expac, i didn’t bring up vanilla so don’t see why that’s relevant here? There was rated BGs in vanilla mind you? So don’t know why ya said that (remember High Warlord title?)
I wasn’t comparing apex legends to WoW at all, was saying about those specific 3 BR games are the same genre and took the good ideas off each other (was just an example of how games can take other ideas off games and incorporate it in their own way), Was using this comparison to WoW and AoC not WoW and those games?
This balance arguement gets me everytime, i remember debating this with Kingddd. If WoW has never ever balanced all of their classes, how has their arena worked for the past 18yrs? Its because its team compositions, and patch notes that apply only to that segment when you step into the Arena and un affected to ow and pve
I agree with the 1v1, it should atleast be 2v2 because won’t a cleric vs cleric or tank v tank just be them running from each other til one gives up 😂
I did hear devs discussing scissors, paper, rock but wouldn’t this come down to skill and a bit of luck? You can dodge abilities in this game and counter, stun, silence and sleep? This creates avenues in counter play
Also, do you not remember how good the Isle of Queldanas was in TBC? There was OW non stop there and Arena (both can exist together and still be healthy amount of participation)
There’s dodge mechanics in this, would love to see how that changes the dynamics of Arena, doesn’t matter how OP a class is if you can outplay them or they can’t hit you with skillshots you can win

Personally I'm glad this guy is doing this stuff. I want to see how Intrepid handles it. The method and result of their action/s, if any, will be a strong factor on which my participation in this game hinges.
Definitely. I love PvP and will not participate in a PvX game that tolerates exploiting unfinished aggro mechanics to bypass the PvP flagging system. If that sounds like a great time to you, have fun dude.

Like how is this NOT a bannable thing? He says on this clip "you and your friends (I'm solo) aren't gonna farm there until you're all turned red!" and then proceeds to grief by pulling mobs into groups for 5-8 Hours. Here is the VoD of him saying it and the rest of the stream for evidence. I Don't Want to make clips of it since I don't want him to take it down.

The devs passion and attitude reminds me of time when the industry was more independent, and the dev landscape was like the wild west. They were better times full of better games. I've played too many hours of MMOs to count and have lost what I once enjoyed in them.
Ashes has signs of being a game led by a team actually passionate about their product and is poised to deliver (even if it's in 5 or 6 more years) a game that I could once again enjoy with friends and family the way I used to. Or it may not be the game for me. For now, there are many features that excite or interest me, even if there are opposing features I don't agree with. I hope there can be room for more than one type of player in an "MMO"

While I don't agree with training mobs onto other players repeatedly without provocation, this mechanic does have a place. Imagine you're soloing and get killed and/or pushed off your camp by a group. I'd definitely bring them a few new friends to play with
