    My ping to a variety of Sydney based servers is generally 1 or 2 ms. Happy days ahead.

    Yeh i'm coming from Eso where my ping was 230 - 260 average :/
    So this will be a welcome surprise.

    Yep, can't wait. I'm coming from Eso where my average ping was around 250 :/

    The bigger question is would there be an Australian, asian server. Several games are unplayable if the server is in the USA or Europe and the payers in australia. We keep getting lagged out. World of tanks, Planetside 2 and Everquest all have regional servers. Everquest landmark did not and just running around getting resources became impossible. It is a problem the devs need to know about. The undersea optic fiber pipe from Australia to Guam, Hawaii and California is fast, My brother made the thing, but the buildings they run through on land are old and broken and California has a few maxed out links. It is worse for Europe half the system running through the middle east is under war rubble. Local server or at least local buffering will be needed for Australia, south east asia, China, Japan and Siberia. One system can serve the time zone because the north south links are better. Australia to Japan/ Vladivostok works. Better than the US link for some reason.

    Well, luckily for us, there is an official post from Steven stating that yes, there will be at least 1 Aussie / Oceanic server. I dont think there is any info on where it will be hosted yet, but we will have one. ????

    Maybe you could convince them to do a live Skype or <cringe>twitch style presentation at the convention. One or two shows a day for it. :)

    Yep this made my day when i heard it.
    Oceanic server confirmed, just don't know where yet.
