• I actually hope there are versions available for each taste. But if I had to choose between sexy and practical armor for females I'd pick practical armor with no hesitation as long as it still looks feminine.

People that likes eye candy/skimpy outfits/high heels would have plenty of choices and those among us that don’t would also have plenty of choices.

The problem is that usually it’s always skimpy/high heels. *cries*

I do prefer my skimpy outfits, but I can agree that most MMOs tend not to have non-skimpy choices. However, I would also add that they just usually don't have much of a selection to begin with and/or rely on a cash shop to begin with.
• So far, I'm loving the art direction for the game, skewing more realistic but still stylish.

I'm not interested in bikini-armor on characters.

• I'm happy if I can tank in a white wedding dress, like in every other mmo :)

Im confident that the armour and costumes will be above average!
• I always say balance is the best way to go. You don't want to be on the extreme end of either side.
Many people will play AoC with different tastes and POVs, if someone would want to dress her / his character with skimpy armor, s/he should be able to and the same goes to people that want to dress their character in a more "practical" way.
• I would love to see "skimpy" armors having a vastly different stat distribution from practical armors, like a skimpy plate mail or a chain mail bikini have very low "armor" value but still have the same stat budget as the practical armors. so that nice suit of plate mail you are eyeing is great protection and tanking utility, but that plate speedo gives a pile of agility instead of that armor.

Basically have practical and skimpy armors, but keep them different visibly and mechanically, and please, PLEASE if you have skimpy female armors have some nice skimpy male ones too.

Some interesting views here. However, if they were to receive different stats, one style should not be clearly more advantageous than the other in my opinion, they should be balanced. And totally agree on the male version. It would be nice to see an effort in making really good male styles too, as usually it is always the female armours and costumes that look awesome, whereas the male versions are just "meh".
I personally am a big fan of heels (maybe because I wear them in real life all the time, dunno) and I would hate it if there was no options for heels, only "practical" footwear. I saw somewhere in the "answers from IS" section on Discord that both practical and more fancy options will be available and I am very happy about this. People should be able to choose how their character will look, some people prefer a very realistic looking style, others like the more "skimpy" style and heels.

(Can't seem to quote directly as it disappears.....)

• Yes, I am a fan of options, cause there are times I like girly, and most times practical. It just seems if the game has high heels, that's all you get, I would like to be able to have both.
• yes the skimpy armor and high heels will break the immersion in combat but thats not true for most of you're time because you're not fighting 24/7..

a good mmo will have a lot of variety when it comes to fashion system,
i want to fight with full armor but i want a farming outfit while i'm planting and harvisting and a skimpy outfit / high heels when walking in towns or enjoying some times while in a party with others and i want an undergarment while i'm alone in my house.
realism we talking about..

I totally agree with that! So long as fashion doesn't break immersion, I'm happy. Assuming the game allows it, I'm definitely gonna be walkin around cities in pretty dresses, and when I go out and do questing and whatnot I wanna have armor that makes sense. And then when I retire to my tavern I want an apron and a chef's hat lol :P

But yeah, my main gripe with mmos lately is that none of that is really there. especially for female characters - you're wearing a skimpy outfit no matter what, and it doesn't make sense and it just feelsbadman

Envisioning you as Thor when he had to go pretending to be Freya just to get molinjir back from the giants....

Though the role player in me agrees... why not prod buttocks and tank in full on meringue complete with bustle, as long as you 've got a great story to go with it :)
