Greatswords that is all.

Also some differentiation between weapons for hunting critters for crafting(bone, meat, hide, whatever) and melee weapons would be a neat and new take. It feels odd when you can hunt deer or deer analogues with greatswords.
I haven't seen a plain old sling for a very long time. Wouldn't have to be a sling from David and Goliath, one shot weapon. Maybe just a low end damage dealer but fast and good at interrupting casters and more mundane mid-ranged weapons like shortbows...

IMO, weapons in fantasy MMOs have fallen into a bit of a rut. Just "best in category" seems to be the default. There are lots of different types of longbows for different things. Lots of types of club/maces. Lots of polearm types. Many different situations such as how much room you have to operate in and not mechanics for greatsword and close quarters or using bows while standing right face-to-face against an opponent with a fast melee weapon. There were reasons that a longbowman always had a secondary weapon with him. <---bow was useless in an up close encounter...

It isn't just when you quote others. :(

Computers are great for fast computations. Their potential for calculating more complex systems is undervalued in games sometimes. Or maybe, like most things, such detail doesn't cover the cost of bang-for-buck.

A Sceptre for casters would be cool, I'll be using a staff (which has to be in, LOL).
Let's see if that works. Getting a goat and 3 chickens ready for voodoo if I get no help from The Heavens.
