It goes back to my early days, in a mobile MMORPG.I was basically a regular friendly guy, just tried to befriend everyone, but then I ended up in the middle of two rival guilds and god only knows what happened, but my reputation plummeted. I decided, eh, screw it. I need a separate online identity. I remembered the robot hero in the movie I,robot(don't ask me how or why) and that he's basically caught in between humanity and the robots. OK! good enough!
Boom, done.
Stayed with it ever since!!
My main name has been Saeyo Prayers since the launch of EverQuest in 1999. I usually have a few alts running around named Dissonance, and Kinork as well. There are some others, but those are definitely ones I use religiously.
Dissonance is something Maynard has spoken of frequently in his songs. I always thought it fit me well.
A vertex is an interception of two lines, which even gives a good mental picture of dashing to clash with a baddie. So I jazzed it up and made it sound more like a person's name: Virtek
Years later, I found out it's also the name of a laser manufacturer so.... it suddenly became a lot niftier!!!
your is more personal, it means a lot!
Then he added, "Besides, it's fitting for how much work you get done... always playing dead.".
I kinda liked having been given a nickname, so I embraced it and have used it ever since.
Wanted to be seen as some madlad or something, no idea, I was young and it sounded cool at the time.
With the release of the xbox 360 I figured it was time to update my name, came up with Terrorcookie. I didn't know how I got to it at the time I thought of it and I still don't. Funny how the brain works.. I still use it regularly.
Now as to Reaper Of Cookies.. Was because of GuildWars 2, it was more of a list of names I started using in the orignal Guilwars because they allow you to have spaces in your name. Started out with chocolate names but I wanted a throwback to Terrorcookie, so I figured I'd use cookie in there somewhere. Then I figured I'd use Reaper with it because at the time I liked Grenth a lot, one of the human gods in the guild wars lore. And you'd come acros a couple of "reapers of grenth" in the game.
(Gauthier is my real name..)
Autumn Willow is the name of my favourite magic card and the name of my 2 daughters. Autumn and Willow.
They are, by default, my favourite tree and season as well.
And also the name of the first fantasy novel I read, Dragons of Autumn Twilight. That more or less got me hooked on fantasy books.
Apparently when everyone looks at my name they see Fatarms first off anyways. I guess it sticks out lol, I don't see it but I get mass amounts of messages on it.. It will also be my name within Ashes
