  • Only one eye is cool af  >:)>:)<3<3

  • I was speaking with Intrepid about this and they were kind of enough to show me a rough draft of a Tulnar with eyes in game:

  • Hahaha! That made me laugh out loud @Wreyna :D

That would be a big ol' NO, with a healthy amount of, don't give a Skaven's behind!
(This is of course all said at a respectable yelling distance away)
  • There is a lot of evidence that many underground creatures have eyes but use other methods to orientate themselves as well. This means that being underground does not necesserely limit a creatures ability to have ocular vision. Still, the eyes should be properly adapted to underground evolution.
  • "Oh my, Tulnar! What big eyes you have!"
"The better to see you with, my pretty....  when you've wandered too far down depths below.... and are all alone.... lost from home....  *licks lips*

  • either they have eyes adapted both to underground and overground habitats (because they raid the sunlit land and such), either they have means to light up their caves (bio-luminescent fungi or bacteria or something), either they don't have eyes.

I just hope that they don't have eyes "because yes". I expect a reasoned motivation wether they have them or not.

There's another option.  Like the Ulgos of The Belgariad, they could have eyes adapted to the dark and they cover their eyes with a veil when above ground.

Their future's so bright, they gotta wear shades.

that's possible indeed. They could be blinded like drow, and all of their object turn to dust as soon as hit by sunlight.
  • Having eyes as an option in customization would be a good option, if you want to offer it. Making them widely customizable would help individualize the characters and would be huge in the RP community.
  • They live in the dark but it doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to see. They were a mixture of a lot of races right? So why not.
  • @sunfrog you for the the "Does it really matter." option.
  • Most creatures that live in dark places do actually have (very bad) eyes.
  • The Talnur used to live above ground anyway, they just didn't leave the world with the other races. I don't think evolution works quite that quick.
  • They should have eyes that are like cats.

    Cute yet judgey.
