Do you speak a foreign language?

We have a global community, which I think is great. I was wondering what languages some of the players speak.

I only speak 2 languages:

1. English
2. Hawaiian

  • More importantly (to me) What motivated you to learn another language if you didn't have to. I want to learn another language but just haven't gotten that drive to push it. That and the lack of a proper free program that's decent.

  • Speak:

I came to the conclusion(through persuasive parents) that I wouldn't get far in life without English.
  • English and Japanese. I had started learning French and Korean a while back, but I stopped due to a lack of time (aka gaming and other life stuff).

Speaking it? I think it's quite okay to learn as long as you can identify and replicate the different tones. Most foreign speakers I hear tend to not be able to replicate (speak) the tones well and the different tones end up with the words having different meaning.

Writing chinese is a whole 'nother beast.
  • Sounds pretty difficult... well, I guess I'll just try it out and see how it goes once I got sufficent time :D
