I always say, that a game wish fishing as a minigame is bound to be awesome and that is usually proven right. Breath of Fire, Suikoden, Persona 5, Final Fantasy, Harvest Moon, WoW. Just to name some that came to mind.

Funny is though, that usually a game that is ONLY about fishing sucks.

Personally I've never really been into fishing, but if its done well it would probably change The whole "look at the boober" and nothing else meta doesnt really catch me

One of my biggest passions IRL is fishing. I hope they make seasonal baits relavent, treat it like recipes and not tell anyone except if you discover it works. I.e. Chatterbaits during the spring spawn, poppers during low light, jigs and finess worms during mid day!  Then species specific... Lordy..

I like fishing. When I'm playing my Orc character I might do some Kraken fishing, providing I can find enough Dwarves for bait.
