Are you guys spreading the word?

I have been talking with my guild about this game while they still play BDO. Looking for a better MMO to go to where we can have long term goals. I do believe this is it and will keep on them about it.

Well, I heard about the game from a guildie and then quickly set up my account for the forums only to learn that I should have taken their referral.  Hopefully I will find a few that will come along to make it up for them.  I will spread the news when the backer program is up on the website and then rinse and repeat for Alpha and Beta.

Mentioning and being heard. Enthusiasm can be contagious if you are a wee bit subtle.   Well not too subtle!   People I have spoken to I know will spread the word, BUT it is so far out at this point.
Most definitely need to be wary of too much enthusiasm showing too often so as not to turn people off.   But like melted butter it will spread!

I've mentioned it to every gamer I know personally. I even bugged a couple of non-gamers to play it. I don't think I know how to talk to people, because they aren't seeming interested yet. They will when I have more to show them, though. I just know it. As for putting it out there on other forums, I haven't done that yet.

I have brought two people who backed the game on KS. The other friends who are MMO'ers are going to wait and see.

Gaming together is the best!  @Isende and I enjoy it as one of our primary shared interests.

It's definitely not for lack of trying haha. She's not a gamer, although, mysteriously, I do catch her playing skyrim when I get home from work on some days.....

I'm trying but all of my friends are currently into FFXIV and just keep saying "Star Citizen" whenever I bring it up

I got like 5-6 people interested with one fir sure buying a 150$ package does that count? Other than that I'm pretty lazy so unless it comes up in conversation or it gets closer to alpha I'll probably chill for a bit.

I was thinking that once Alpha hits, it would be nice to be able to send things we'd like to share with the rest of the world to plug it positively, well send stuff to a moderator or censor to give us the red or green light...

I'm sure that there will be plenty of pretty screen shots that could be taken that wouldn't affect the storyline\spoil\ reflect negatively...

Things like certain personal reviews 



And I'd love to be able to jot down a journal... without giving any story away!

I.e.:
Journal..... ((But not disclosing alpha happenings behind them))

Fourth day through the portal, food is getting low  ((can't kill anything or find anything to eat))

Sixth day: I'm so frustrated, I can't work out anything in this new world ((nooooooooob))

twenty fifth day: Discovery! At last all my dreams can come true ((I killed something and found a mine))

Day forty: Disaster, I struggled with beasts of the forest and almost lost my life for times over, so weary can barely move, why must I be handicapped so? ((Kept on dying, death penalty hits))

Day Seventy: I have found a perfect place to call home with a sweet little river and a field full of ponies.... ((not telling you where though bwahahaha))

@Possum,  @IsamuTheMad and I belong to a group of fellow gamers who've met and played together across many games, for many years. This group consists of roughly 40 people; yes, they're very aware of Ashes, and our interest in it. They're slow to come on board, however, as many have become jaded over the last few years with "The Next Big Thing!". BDO, for instance. Had so many hopes for that game. 

Anyway, I'm pretty sure the majority of them will wait for our actual responses to the game before they get more interested, but I'd guess several of them will be joining us, at least initially, just to see if it lives up to all it promises.
