Greetings fellows! My name is Riji and I literally just learned about Ashes of Creation yesterday, and after researching since then have decided to keep an eye on progress. Like many, I am hesitant to get too hyped. I've poured money into many a MMO who promise pre alpha content.

While I wait, I am looking to find a banner to rally behind. It would seem this game will be very guild based, so starting early in this venture will be necessary. So a little about me; I am 22 years old from the U.S meaning I will be a NA server Player. I am active duty U.S Army meaning my playtime is extremely casual, primarily weekends (If lucky). I am primarily looking for a 18+ guild, but open to anything. I am a Heavy RPier, meaning my primary focus is story and character development, but I am PvX is practice. I will never shy away from PvP, and will go out of my way to develop my combat prowess and skill. I am also specifically looking for a guild that aims to be large. 100+ membership aiming to be a force in the server we choose.

My interests and goals for the game is to develop personal housing, either freehold or within the bounds of a settlement. I aim to be political, Looking to help influence government and regional affairs. And above all, live in the world either by fighting or just developing a livelihood.

Are there any races that you're 'feeling' right now?

Kaelar Human or Empyrean Elf. I'll be taking the next few months to research more and background as I develop the character. I'm trying to go for a very rustic feel to start. Depending on the guild I end up in too.

I usually make my characters basic and develop them over time through progression in game or by influences. Not the kind of guy who outright creates some amazing hero who realistically has made no achievements to speak of. Lol

And riding Dragons would be amazing! However, I'll stick with finding a loyal steed at first.    It'd be a pleasure to hopefully meet you as well!

You start a character and let it show you where it wants to go, it's almost always the most enjoyable way and a massive surprise. 

I say almost always enjoyable, there have been a couple of times that I stopped playing a toon because I couldn't stand their personality... probably says more about me than anyone needs to know.

I believe there's a dedicated guild channel on AoC Discord. I've seen guild ambassadors post their welcome messages there, though some of them just post a link to their website and leave it at that Anyway, it might be a good idea to check it if you want to start looking for a guild right away. Completely agree! And I've had my fair share of perma killed characters after expending them. Though usually keep a main I expand on pretty lengthy.

Sounds like as good a place as any to take a look at what's to offer. I've been skimming websites but many guilds are undeveloped and I imagine they're keeping to their VOIP's scheming.

Just can't seem to find one right off the bat that shows good RP support. Some guilds say they RP,  but I'm at least looking for a decent following in the larger guilds and not simply "we tolerate it".

And as I read what is readily available, I can firmly say Elf is definitely a good choice. I'll just have to see how lore and races develop.
