The "They Deserve a Key" Thread.

If I understand correctly, once every two weeks the guys at Intrepid choose some members of the community who were active helping out fellow players and reward them with alpha keys. If this is the case, couldn't we help them to make this choice by reccommending those names who were really helpful to us?

I am aware there might be some exploitation, but I am sure Intrepid would immediately detect such attempts. Plus, this would be yet another way to thank those who helped us during the week.

Ashes of Creation Weekly Drawings - How do they work?

There’s been a few people wondering how the weekly drawings work, and how to win a key so hopefully this answer’s some of the questions you may have. 

Random Drawings

One week is a random drawing selected from the list of all members signed up to the website and everyone is in with a chance to win either an alpha key or a beta key/mount. 

Handpicked Drawings

The second week of the cycle is handpicked by the intrepid team and is based on community involvement (helping others, participation on the forums/discord and by spreading the word about the game through the referral system).

Competition's

 There may also be competition’s such as the Meme contest in place of the normal weekly raffle or key giveaways during official live-stream event’s.

What is the difference between the weekly drawing keys and the kickstarter keys?

 By winning a key in the weekly drawings/ competition’s you gain access to the invite only alpha and beta tests these test’s will be by invite only and will be under a NDA. winners of these exclusive keys will be notified via email, and the results posted on the forums and on social media. (access to these tests will not be purchasable, and is separate to the family and friends test) However, the Kick-starter campaign has packages available with access to phase 1&2 alpha tests and phase 1&2 beta tests. These tests are only accessible for purchase through supporting Ashes in the Kick starter event. 

Keys from the raffles are estimated for Q4 2017, the Friends and Family is a separate testing phase that will likely begin with several occurrences between Oct-Nov of 2017, the raffled alphas do not apply to the KS alpha periods in 2018

I'm just glad I could be helpful amidst all my silly posts.  I'm sure YavYav is aware of the shenanigans... er, I mean helpful and supportive comments posted by so many great people in our community.

Me too as such I don't expect to receive any keys for any keys from that as I am selective on who I invite to the game known to many toxic players

I would like something  like that to happen for everyone who helps but I can also see it backfiring as well

I could write a long list of people who deserve a key from forums and discord but I do think it may be better being randomised because you know no favourites and all that ^^ However it would be nice for those that help others to be credited even if it's a wee forum badge for being helpful or something ^^

It'll just turn into a popularity contest which won't be necessarily based on the qualities Intrepid are looking for. Just my 2 cents.

I'm interested in y'alls guild. I've heard it mentioned that you have 3 guild leaders? Haven't looked much further into it than that. I figured I would maintain on the boards until O found people that would fit my personality mostly. Progression is important, but not as important as having people you can actually celebrate with and enjoy spending time with everyday.

Our guild has no leader ^^ Sounds crazy we know but it works for us aha Will be explained on Friday ofc ^^ Well depending on how the interviews work xD We shall do our best xD

I am going to try to make it on to meet people but I haven't used discord before, and will be doing it from my mobile device, so will be an experience for me there

Maybe in a future one I'll rep me guild but atm not sure what we will be calling it or how many people I'll have we will have coming over

Totally agree with this threads sentiment....But not just community nominated on forums, also those actively helping answer questions etc on discord or set up external forums like wikis rp groups etc , world love to vote for some of them 

And will never get any key for referrals, I have noone to refer
