    The Magicians.

Plot summary is: Magic, magic,  school, magic, sexual intercourse, drug, alcholism, sexual intercourse, magic, lgbt love, magic, obsession, magic, death, magic, death, gods, magic gods, demi-gods, gods, magic...
You forgot a couple - revenge (which I guess can be counted within obsession) and EXTREME SOCIAL AWKWARDNESS.

The Blacklist + The Blacklist: Redemption
I love Blacklist so much, especially Dembe, probably the only character that is not a complete idiot.

@Cyreph Dembe is such a badass, he is indeed an amazing character!

In terms of acting Reddington has to be #1 though, he is just sublime in my opinion.

Yeah, I like James Spader in almost *coughultronsuckscough* everything that he does.

But Reddington as a character has been so infuriating lately.

Dembe: "Raymond, I think you are doing the wrong thing."

Red: "Old friend, you always give me the best advice."

*Proceeds to do the wrong thing*
  • I like Gotham, Stranger Things, Bosch (Amazon), House of Cards, Game of Thrones (obviously)
  • I absolutely recommend Babylon 5. It's like Game of Thrones but in space. It was made as a continuous plot told over a pilot film and 5 seasons.

    True
  • Thanks for the recommendations.  I've watched the Magicians , it's good.  Babylon 5 was awesome.  Have yet to see Stranger Things, Bosch (Amazon), House of Cards And yes GoT is obvious lol

Yeah, you're gonna want to see Stranger Things for sure.
You might like The OA, too. It's not quite as good as Stranger Things, but still very compelling.
Interestingly enough, there is no standard episode length for that show, it can vary from episode to episode.
  • Black Sails
    Game of Thrones
    Santa Clarita Diet
    Walking Dead

I know some are obvious or not finished but I enjoyed them all quite a bit. Can't binge watch though. I have a real problem with that when I find a show I like and it's over before I find something else to watch.

I actually know someone who had a cameo in the Babylon 5 pilot episode.  Her name is Kiki Stockhammer, here is a little shot of her cameo:

She worked for NewTek, creators of the Video Toaster system the production used on some of their visual effects.
(That first season of B5, they were still using Amiga 4000 computers with Video Toaster boards.)

She once recounted a experience running into the actor that played Captain Sinclair (the captain before Sheridan) in the hallway of their hotel.
He asked her if she wanted to come up to his hotel room.
    She said, "Aren't you married?"
    His reply was, "So?"

Needless to say, I don't think he impressed her.

Just a random little story for ya, hah! ;)

Taboo is a really good show with Tom Hardy.

Forged in Fire is interesting to watch with all the different weapon types they forge.

Master Chef simply because Gordon Ramsey is a savage that kills peoples hopes and dreams.

Into the Badlands is also really good if you like Asian style action movies.

Just a few shows that have actually been able to keep my attention.
  • So many shows but this is years of watching, walking dead, Vikings, turn, shannara chronicles, the expanse (really good), the 100, taboo (tom hardy also really good), ray Donovan, preacher, outlander, last kingdom, killjoys, into the Badlands, GOT, frontier, dark matter, American gods, the bastard executioner, strike back, sparticus, musketeers, marco polo, hell on wheels, defiance, Da.vincis demons, copper, black sails, and banshee.
Just some of the better TV series I have watched over the past several years all worth a watch IMO.
  • The Office
    House of Cards

I love Gordon Ramsey, but I feel like MasterChef US pales in comparison with its Australia counterpart. If you like watching him the savage part though, I think Hotel Hell, Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen would suffice.

A few more shows I'm watching, a few of them quite trashy, but I enjoy them:
    American Gods
    Archer
    Atlanta
    Brooklyn Nine Nine
    iZombie
    Legion (so awesome)
    Lucifer
Mom (I can't recommend this enough)
    Rick and Morty
    Stranger Things
    The Originals
    Top Chef

    Hey, that's not my stack!

But, you know, I'd add them to my library....   ;)

I'm a fan of many shows you mentioned there too, particularly Dark Matter, American Gods, Banshee, and Black Sails.

Black Sails was the best representation of pirates that I have ever seen on any form of medium before... such a underrated series.  Watching Black Sails, for me, was like watching Battlestar Galactica on syfy when it first aired.... each episode left you hanging for the next, of this epic storyline.  And thankfully, Black Sails had a much more satisfying finale than Battlestar did...   ;)

Interestingly enough, Bear McCreary did the musical score for both of those tv shows, now that I think about it.  Fantastic soundtrack too. Sadly, only the OST for the first season of Black Sails was released.
  •  A long while back I  told a young gal that I rarely watched TV, she said,
"Oh my God! How do you learn anything about life?"
I answered,  "Um, I live it."

    People still watch tv?
Oh sure.  Been doing it for years.
First you monitor the tv file hosting sites for the latest episode releases. Then you use Freerapid or JDownloader to manage the episode downloads.  Then you upload your episodes to your home network file server that's running Plex.  Then you use your Plex mobile app on your smart phone to connect to your TV via Google Chromecast device  to stream the latest episodes from your file server to your television!

    TV is so simple!
    ;)

It's nice to know that SaeyoPrayers and CylverRayne   don't appriciate TV as a form of entertainment .  But there are several of us that enjoy TV as much as we do Gaming.  Can we keep this thread to those that do enjoy it and want to share some good recommendations?  Thanks!
  • My favourite TV Shows of all time are things like:

    Game of Thrones(Books are better)

    Boardwalk Empire

    The Walking Dead

    West Wing

The Wire (Took me a whole series to understand what they were saying)

    Band of Brothers(Book is better)

    Breaking Bad
