  • Would I become corrupted if I attack a caravan?

    If not, I will probably attack every caravan I find, hoping for some opportunities to duel whoever it belongs to  >:)
    Well... Don't think you will become corrupted by attacking those guard npcs. If there are players nearby guarding it, then yes. I suppose you will become corrupted when that is the case.

    @Planeswalker
    These caravans are handled as battlezones. so i f you stumble into the "zone" of the caravan you will be pvp flagged. so no corruption.

    All that come into this area are seen as aggressors. if you want to help you need to talk to an npc behind the caravan that can flag you as defender. But only if the caravan is half the distance travled i believe. Or be part of it at the start. All i know as to this point. (and i could be wrong as i am a recent fan )
  • I think it would be situational.  Is the caravan from the node you are a citizen of?  Would the caravan reaching it's destination benefit your node?  How does the caravan effect you in other words.
  • I really should have added an option to ignore it. C'est la vie.

    We are just being honest :3 If the caravan is not related to you or bring disadvantages, then it's gold on wheels.
  • commerce happens for a reason and will help the two nodes I see no reason to pillage without an interest in either node or a neighboring competitor.

    And yet, you know more than most.  Good post.  Thank you for the explanation.

    First kill.  That is, I'd be the first one killed, because that's how bad I suck at PvP.  No matter which side I chose to fight on.

    Godless savages!
    :wink:
  • I'd used subversive measures to get at the sweet goodness inside.

    Seduction mostly.
  • I chose to attack it, but honestly it would depend on a couple more factors. Who is leading/running the caravan? Do I dislike the group or like the group? Is my guild at war with them or allied?  Is anything else going on that I need to get ready for or focus on?

    Because I'm helpful sometimes to the verge of stupidity and my own detriment.

    I am not a religious man but I do believe in the old adage do on to others as you would have done on to yourself. Hence I will have a toon designed for the job of bounty hunter and people assistance in general. Fighting the perceived bad guys is what I live for. Unless they want to buy my stuff then anything goes lol.
    If your ever looking for a guild man your definitely on the money for what I want to do. XD
    Well I couldn't tell your intentions with your sig full of paladins lol. I'm not going to look for a guild until closer to launch or at least beta.  I will be on a euro server. if you are too I will defo keep you in mind :)
    I hear you and sadly I'm on the NA server but I was talking to a guy on discord so Paladin Co. might have a EU branch too. I personally favor a more neutral approach but I typically avoid causing issues for the general population and assist when I can. Get some murder hobos and junk running around my neighbourhood and you can bet I'll hunt em down.
  • I'd say if it is from the Node which I have citizenship I would defend it.. You never know when you may need help with a one of your caravans and that person you helped may be in a position to help you.

    I'd say the only time I would actually attack a caravan is if it is from a rival node or guild.

    I dunno. The DM will take into account what you actually say before applying your d20 roll  ;)

    If I'm ever your DM you can know I'll give you a +20 to that roll! *tears up*

    Gotta commit yourself to the sexy seducer role! Otherwise, you conveniently make your character untalkative and just whack things with big fancy sticks like everyone else. Harumph!
  • I'm wondering how big the caravan battleground area is.  could I parlay?
  • I tend to want to defend every time...but I have learned there are other considerations to this decision like will it work against my node, etc.
  • Howcome there's no "Depends on my mood" button? Cuz that'd totally be me.

    "Happy day" La la ha la ha ha la la ... pickin' flowers, see caravan out of the corner of my eye, but continue picking flowers

    Answer = "Do nothing"

    "Angry day" Lookin' for a fight ... see caravan being attacked. Wade in in caravan's defense

    Answer = "Defend"

    "Regular" day ... and then which character am I on? Wait, which part of me brain's workin' at the moment?

    Answer = "Roll the dice"

    If I were to go full on roleplay when the game releases I'd be a defender 100%, but otherwise it would pretty much depend on my mood indeed. I totally agree with you.

    "In order to transport resources, you will have to initiate a caravan. Multiple players can deposit goods into a single caravan. While the caravan moves, it will have players who are registered as “Defenders” and NPC guards assigned by the village node. A zone around this caravan will prompt players nearby with a window that asks if they wish to defend, attack, or ignore the caravan. If the caravan reaches it’s destination, the owner of the caravan reaps a reward and all who added resources to the caravan will have successfully transported goods for processing and sale. If the bandits succeed at destroying the caravan, however, then a wreckage will appear- only lootable by players who registered to attack."
