    I think we should give a castle to myself and @nagash.

    The Lord of Bones and The Lord of Big... Laughs, together in a castle sounds like a very fertile ground for epic times.

    I think the person who contributes the most to the node deserves the castle. :D

    In my experience, the top 2-3 largest/strongest PvP focused guilds will have the ownership of castles. The rest of the castles will be controlled by who those "powerhouse" guilds dictate.

    Idk anymore tbh there's this one uber guild on the forums advocating for an increase or removal of the guild members cap... If their not lying they could probably take a couple nodes without much hindrance from anyone in particular. I hope your count is right though really keep the game as the "free for all" it's supposed to be.

    @Bannith there is no way a cap is being removed. They will be forced to be in an alliance and to be honest it would work out better for them that way.

    Those who can take it by either outsmarting their opponents or taking it by force. Those are the ones that deserve a castle.

    I'm pretty sure from the way IS describes it, Castles will be difficult to defend by design as the three defensive nodes surrounding them are each capped at stage 4. 

    The castle walls shall crumble to the onslaught of the angry masses.

    STEVEN: Castles exert control, to a degree, over the economies of Nodes under its influence. There are, as it stands now, 5 castles in the game and those castles have a domain that they control, to a degree.
    Owning a castle, the guild may be able to allocate some of those taxes for increasing defense spending in Nodes separate from the Node's taxation policies and coffers, they may activate certain events and abilities that can progress citizens of certain Nodes, they may unlock certain types of buildings.
    Castles have dedicated nodes around the castle that exist outside of the Node system that's buildable to a certain stage (Stage 4?) by the guild that owns the castle and the guilds that are in an alliance with that castle.
    There are a lot of different mechanics that relate to our castle system.

    This is a futile thread.

    The reason I say this is because the major PvP guilds that will very likely be playing this game (as they have been moving through all major PvP games) aren't even attending the fair.

    These guilds (gaming communities) will appear closer to alpha / beta stage, and the release itself. Those guilds will get the castles.

    I disagree. It sounds like this game's sieges will hinge on more than just PvP. There will be resources needed for upkeep, a bank roll and merely just having good fighters won't count for much in any part but the fighting. 

    Being good at PvP will sure help, but it's not going to be the end all and be all.

    @Karthos still, I think it's way to early to vote on this, since there will be so many new guilds appearing (not only pvp guilds) that voting now really doesn't mean anything. :)
