This topic comes up in just about every MMOs forums and I always think, "Are you folks not getting sex in real life?" It's the only logical question that can be asked in response.

Ok, I understand the desire to have a brothel.   IN fact games like COE it would be useful since there is a inheritance , lineage part of the game.   However I don't see that here.  There is the Proprietary aspect tho, and those that enjoy RP may see it as part of the RP game play.  .. I however plan to specialize in Animal husbandry and hope I can Brothel off my Studs (in animal to animal way) to breed the best mount / pet.  So I say Why not have brothels.

You don't know what it means? It means that he will sooner or later learn it from somewhere. And if you don't teach him before it, that source will going to influence your soon growth, which may takes him into the wrong path, or make him into a anti socialized being, and only rarely ends up at the right path.

The choice is yours. Idc where do you live, but if you don't talk about it with your kid, but instead try to keep him away from things like that, then you can be 99% sure that others will going to tech him before he reaches legal age, and then you can't control it afterwards...

You are making a bad assumption, that his view on in game brothels means he hasn't spoken to his son or taught him about things in..... And this is vital...an environment he can control...

Sure his kid is likely to come across all of the seedier sides of the human psyche soon enough, but being made aware of it, and being confronted directly by it are two different things.

Besides, he doesn't mention how old his son is. Sometimes a few years can make a heck of a difference as to how he'd be able to process and cope with such info.

I say his view is actually one of the most valid views on this thread.

It's fairly predictable that there will be player made brothels, haven't seen an mmo without it yet. 
But also I've not yet found them flung into my face.
Erp happens. As long as it doesn't affect anyone who doesn't want it, who are we to complain?

Now, now, just you all go and watch the very first episode of Critical Role and what will you find within the first 30-40 minutes?  A brothel. A Dwarven brothel no less.

Knock off the Playboy mansion would be a good start.
