Economic Node hardest to Develop ?

Would Economic Node technically be the hardest to develop ?

This the Node that is the most wealthiest, the same Node that elects its Queen/King based on Sheer Wealth alone ... which takes time, this is the same Node where ... "Gold" is practically meaningless compared to Gems (right ?  :D  )

  • I'd say they will probably be developed by a combination of wealth obtained and crafting performance.

I see economic nodes being trading hubs that are attractive to crafters. They will then draw in people looking to buy goods, thus increasing trade and making the node more desirable.

Could also mean more crime as well... You know, because @Kratz will be hanging around.

This is something i also thought of too. And although the Devs didn't want the Term "Stealing" involved ( think they stated in one of their LiveStreams ? )

The Economic Node might be the only exception ? but then again, if it's only allow in that Particular Node ... then how would the Victim get it back ? Because once that player leaves the Node, it might not been seen ever again >.<

    Questionable imo
  • It will be military imo, the stories of backstabbing and that one loner who destroys everyone else in pvp to become node leader are going to be glorious.

I'll be awaiting them in my Divine node :D

I think economic nodes will likely be the easiest to develop because their networked trading system will be in heavy demand by other nodes, even adjacent nodes who will ultimately suffer from their dominance.

On the flip side, when economic nodes at level 3 or higher become too prolific, they will be the focus of delevelling sieges. If it's done right this same mechanic will help to balance out the entire ZOI for any node type.

Crafters are automatically going to flock to Economic nodes. I expect them to develop the quickest.  Military nodes are going to have the hardest time developing, because lets face it. Every Tom, Dick, xxLegolassxX and ScrwURMum, is going to flock to them.
  • I suspect science nodes will be hard to develop too because the scientists focused on research might not be the strongest at defense.  And we all know from other games, that there will be flocks of lazy gamers who prefer to steal their goodies from other players.
  • I think:
Economic nodes will most likely be the easiest to build.  There are many devoted crafters and gatherers which will be the base of the trade systems.   Economics is the base of a growing society,  community and wealth. People will be more willing to work together.

Military nodes will probably be a wee bit harder to establish.  There is quite a vigorous group of pvp players who want to be first and are out to prove themselves. Their main goal will be competing with one another for that spot.  Constant conflict.

Thats until they realize they have to compete with other NPC-Vendors &

    Player-Vendors for sales  :p
Then they'd have to do some Shady-Deals lols xD

Ironically, i never viewed it like that. As I;ve said before in another thread, I just figured it'll be a Fighting-Tournament - with the Rules changing each time

Lols, if the Devs want to be kinda Trolly ... they could Host a PK Tournament  :D
who can get the most kills <~<.
    (joking)

In short, I'd thought it won't be as challenging - too simple even. But hey, thats just me i guess  B)

Not to mention the competition that the nodes will inspire! Man I can't wait!!!
  • This is an aside, but I wonder if small predatory guilds will form solely to raid trade caravans.  An economic node would be a perfect target for all incoming/outgoing caravans.

I suspect these will be some of the first guilds to form. Several of them are already recruiting as we speak.

Not that I know any of these people personally mind you... No, I wouldn't, uh, approve of that kind of thing...
  • I'm personally expecting Divine nodes to have the most roleplayers and its the reason why I'm heading to one myself.
  • Lovely pictures of jewels. I think it will level up about the same speed as the rest. Crafting may be a bit slow at first because they wont have any money to buy the bits they need. That will be the same what ever type of node. I'm sure they will need crafters to.
