Holy crap.  B) I just checked two days ago it was less then 600, now it's over 8000!  I'm pretty excited about getting my fancy wand at launch

    It's probably a glitch due to KS backer upgrades but hopefully you're right. :)

    This has to be either an error, or the intrepid team messing up the website deliberately so they can encourage more people to follow the supposed fake bandwagon!. It's either those two, or we can upgrade our kickstarter pledges and everyone is doing it so, which i doubt is the case. Anyways, this is some crazy shit.

    As much as I'd like to believe you, and in that.. Buuuut when something is too good to be true, it usually is.. 
    I mean for a 8k jump in 3 days is pretty extreme, but the Wand is really the only Summer backer goal that's worth getting, so I'm not complaining.. Gogogogooo!

    In all honesty I dont think it matters if the numbers are Jacked. I think Interpid will still give us the rewards because if they dont that would really irritate the backers who have pledged. So i am hoping like Karthos said it is people supporting the game but if it is a mistake i still think we will get the Rewards.

    The jump started at the same time as they released the codes to link to your account. They are looking at it, but since it is still the long holiday weekend, imagine we won't get any clarification till later this week. All for free stuff from them double dipping on pledge numbers, but once a company starts doing dodgy shit, expect further dodgy shit that won't be to your benefit later. "We said lifetime sub, but we meant that to be to our forums. Sorry it wasn't more clear." as an example.

    I think it must be a glitch because they have not actually unlocked the bonuses. But on the other hand if it has unlocked them its a nice bonus.

    Yes, but not everyone of those 20k has applied their code as of yet. The spike from just under 500 pledges started at exactly the same time as they released the intergration codes. It can't be KS people who have upgraded their accounts, that function hasn't even been added yet. So extremely fishy that pledges sit and creep at an extremely slow pace over 10 days, then BAM!, everyone who decided to pledge this go round came out in droves over a weekend. They are aware of the issue and are looking into it. It is a long holiday weekend in the US, so they probably won't even address the issue till later this week.

    I am going to stay skeptical and assume it is just a glitch from the KS backers codes being entered. Trying not to get my hopes up just yet. Sure hope I am wrong!!!

    It is the 4th of July, they probably have been gone since late Saturday. All probability is that the entire studio is in a park somewhere in San Diego having their first Intrepid BBQ.     Actually you're both right. The Japanese that the meme came from was 8000, but was mistranslated when put into English as 9000.

    Aww, for real?  Well damn.  That's surprising, but thanks for the enlightenment!  Sounds weird though, after getting used to the "Over 9000" version, lol.

    Back when I was Steven's age, we didn't get July 4th off. We just worked until the game was finished (X-mas and Jan 1 were the only guaranteed days off).
    My first day at Activision was 27 hours straight.

    I was thinking they might not be in the office before July 5th, but I was checking to see if anyone had seen activity I might have missed.
