I'd like to see some sort of, I don't know, (forgive me for the terminology) "Animagus" type class. A were-type class that can shapeshift into different types of animals/beasts with different attributes and stats. Maybe as character progression, unlock different animals/beasts (on end game character have monster as ultimate) Obviously with limitations and maybe set duration timers on each transformation before reverting back, leaving it with appropriate cooldowns, forcing you to use multiple strategies and timely transformations (instead of just sitting in Cheetah mode all day) lol

Opinions anyone?
Creative. Shifting between animals would be the skills. Bird, Turtle, Wolf, Bear etc. --each one giving a buff and increased evasion, attack, or defense.
How about acolyte? 'The power of MY god compels you!' Shapeshifter...obvs hypnotist... 'stab your friend now' Oooh body snatcher.... your characters swap bodies in the middle of a fight Magneto!
The question is "if one more class could be added what would you like it to be?" so I cant vote in the poll because my class is not on there.
I would say a Monk or more specifically a Martial Arts type monk with fist weapons. Almost an exact copy of the pathfinder monk class so cool jump and fall mechanics for negating or lessening fall damage as well as many resistances to poisons and other things of that nature. Also a few abilities from pathfinder that would be cool are "Stunning Fist" and "Quivering Palm" not to mention "Evasion" I think it would be a really cool class as well.
Some natural type druid like shapeshifter sounds perfect to me. Just travelling alone would be enjoyable by choosing different animals to travel with including flying animals at the higher levels
I have a feeling Druid might be a mix of Cleric and Ranger... maybe Mage/Ranger? Ranger/Mage? There are a lot of possibilities. As far as I know we don't know the full archetype combo list yet.
I will be disappointed if there isn't a combo that makes one. After holy characters, druidic ones tend to be my next go to.
In my opinion, a gunner in this type of game would just damage its reputation. Simply put that this is a medieval-fantasy game. Psion could be awesome and combining it with a tank build.. maybe that's too overpowered? My call is a Druid. Using the powers of nature to do as you please is just plain fun Binding players with tree roots and letting your summoned wolf bite him off with the bleeding effect.. ahh the joy of torture >:3

No need to worry, Steven has crushed the idea of guns in the game. I personally would like the idea but respect the wishes of most that it does not fit a fantasy setting like this one.
I personally would love to see a class that utilises technology (it doesn't have to be super sophisticated).
Can't really have any technology at all.. Then that takes the game from a fantasy game to a Sci-fi game, changing the entire genre lol so I think the closest you would get to a gun is a crossbow for archers. xD
Monk, there are no guns in Ashes. How'd did you arrive to Gunner before Monk?
I realized that a Monk is basically a Cleric/Fighter... so.. didn't put it in.
Yup. Front-line guy in light armor with a staff and holy powers, that's your classic Monk and it's basically what a Cleric is in this game already.
When you say Monk, are you talking like the European type? Because I would agree with you (The Friar from DAoC perfectly matches that description)
But I'm talking more the Monk from games like V:SoH, EQ, WoW, Diablo3 and even D&D. Basically un-armed martial arts master that often has highly unique abilities like healing, safe falling, mind over body abilities, dim mak attacks, immunity to toxins and mind control, etc.
Now I would love it if the Cleric/Fighter was named Monk but I would want something more than a simple stick wielding healer.
I'm not sure shapeshifters fit too well in this game, but I always love turning into a giant bear or wolf in combat. I also enjoy nature magic. Roots to strangle or snare enemies, summoning plants to spit or attack your enemies, or healing powers are all cool.
Ohhhh, I have an idea....what if the GOD you chose had a direct effect on the flavor of your primary class?!
So in your example what if worshiping say the Forest Mother (completely made up) meant a Summoner would summon creatures from nature but worshiping say "nagash" the father of corruption and evil meant a Summoner would become a Necromancer?!
Holy crap, that would turn 64 classes into 448! (6 gods +1 agnostic)

This is "similar" to the druid archetype, but rather than turning into beasts, a Shaman wields magical influence over beasts.
I hope some class combo(s) leads to this archetype, such as Summoner/Mage or Summoner/Cleric.

All three, with extra on top

P.S. If anyone wants to read more about the Pathfinder Monk here is a link to the Monk page of the Pathfinder SRD.

I expect Druid or Shaman to be a subclass of Mage.

Druid will already be there.
The devs say Ashes will never have guns.
Psionics has not been ruled out yet.

Personally I would like a Monk type class. This usually means am unarmed melee type fighter but with some special and unique skills.
Of course with 64 class combos, maybe one of them will fit that, maybe the Rogue/Cleric? idk
psychics have a different feel to it
