Gambling?

Do you think they should add gambling? It could be in casino games, paying money to enter tournaments and the winner gets the prize pool, betting on who would win on the tournament, getting a bunch of materials together and hoping you get a good buff on a weapon, having an undergound fightclub. Then we could have a swarm of people against gambling with toy horses that say "Say Neigh to Gambling" and the casino owner could hire some right wing assassins to inflitrate The riots and create discord.

    Nothing stopping you from doing it yourself with other players.

    That type gambling has corruption and cheating written all over it.  I don't care one way or the other but I sure would laugh at the fools who partake and get taken.

    Let me tell you the story off how I went from chugging a barrel of ale at the tavern to waking up in the middle of a field without any clothing or gear.

    I could see it being a mini tavern game but not for anything that gives you a perma  advantage of others ^^
    Something just to win small amount of game currency etc.
    Im more in favour in not having it though but ya know depends on how they presented it.

    Ok, does anyone have any good ideas for a minigame/friendly game of chance/competition(ex. Who is the most acurate with a bow)?

    Already confirmed. While they have to be careful to make it not exactly like gwent so they don't get sued, you can be assured there will be similar games. The Summer backing goal of  backer only parlor game is also there. So while they may not be available at launch, they will eventually be in game. The Summer backing one would have been a game that you as a backer could initiate, but anyone could play. Sadly it looks like we won't make that goal. But there will be other games that anyone can initiate and play with friends while seated.

    I would much prefer to be able to place bets between players something where no new currency is generated but rather it just changes hands... that way I can bet on who is going to win a duel, or an arena fight, ect...

    With the implementation of tavern games it seems a safe way to gamble between players would be nice to have in game.  You can always do it the old fashion way but that means you have to trust both parties to possibly pay.

    When I played Florensia, I hosted a lottery and when the lottery was over, the economy in that game epically crashed xD. It was a month of ticket purchasing at 100g each. Sold an ungodly amount of tickets.

    On a side note, I'm down for gambling if it includes betting on arena fights. Sure, it'd be difficult to fight corruption but that's just part of gambling anyway lol.
