  • i play most of my games on consoles. i would love to see it on console. i do not want this to take away from the release date. i can see it be added two-three years later after release. heck they said wasteland 2 couldnt go to console and it did. even pillars of entirety is coming to console. yes; years later but as a gamer who plays console game i love it. it give console gamers a chance to play these games
  • I've just got back into xbox, having been a playstation owner up to the PS4, I recently bought the Xbox S, then realised I still have my original Xbox and my 360.  I will be going for the Xbox X, I own a very good PC, but some games just need playing on my 55" OLED 4k TV
  • Overall I have no problem with consoles. I haven't really owned or used one on a regular basis in a while so I'm a bit out of touch in that regard, but they're pretty great in general.

The problem I do have is when you start sacrificing gameplay/functionality in order to make a generic gameplay experience for all platforms. I would feel exactly the same if they made a game with console in mind, slightly adapted things so it would fit better also on PC and kinda crappify control settings on my, what used to be console exclusive, experience.

That being said, if there is functionality that allows for cohesive gameplay no matter what platform you use and does not infringe upon content in the game (scrapping things because they don't work on controller or keypad etc) then good for that, more players.
  • Why the hell list has only 3 machines?  :(
  • I use to think consoles were fun for sitting on the couch and gaming... then I plugged a 360 gamepad into my pc xD

Seriously there is nothing that consoles do better than PC. Consoles use to be great for splitscreen but hardly anything supports that anymore outside of Nintendo. For the most part I just run an emulator if I want to play a splitscreen game or I hook up my wii u
  • Anyway this is what I choose.  B)

  • I'm sick of consoles. They're half-assed, overpriced, poorly supported and ultimately more expensive than a competitive gaming PC (if you build it yourself). There are a lot more game available for PC through platforms like Steam and Origin.
Your lack of knowledge of consoles disgust me.
  • only reason I play on a console is because of console specific titles. I'd never play an mmo on a console
  • atm they are only developing for windows, but one  can hope that they bring it to linux :P
  • I got a ps4 slim, I had absolutely no reason going for the pro
  • NIPPON BANZAI!

Hmm your really going to struggle to beat a Xbox One X when buying a PC for around the same money $500/£450, you can't do it.  Just look at the basics Xbox controller £50, UHD Blu Ray Drive £100 or so, OS £80 or so, so thats the thick end of £220 or so right there.  So you can't build a PC for another £230 to compete with the Xbox One X
  • Don't need a Blue Ray drive if you're just building a rig for PC gaming.
    But, yeah.
  • Thats not the point.  The point I was making to the poster was you can't make a comparable PC for the price of and Xbox One X.

People are always saying my PC's better and cheaper than a console, then go onto to say "I already had the controller, the OS and don't need a Blue ray drive" etc.  Well yes if your not comparing like for like then yes, a PC will be cheaper.

I spent £1600 a year ago on my PC not including the £1000 on a monitor.

You realize PCs can also be connected to TV like consoles?

So when comparing the prices do not include the price of a monitor.
Also do not include the price of peripherals, since both PC and console can go with variety of those depending what player chooses.

Compare just the price of a BOX, both of PC and of console.

I'd be comparing whatever I need to purchase to play the games I want to play.

I think CPU + motherboard + graphics card for a 4K rig already is more expensive than PS4 Pro.
But, I haven't done enough research to really know.
