Lifetime Subscription and Subscription Gift Codes

     Hello I have a simple question regarding backer rewards, I apologize if I should have used a different forum category. As I understand once you pledge your amount you get those rewards in addition to any previous tiers. As a Braver of Worlds backer I get a lifetime subscription, in previous backer tiers you get subscription time. My question is if we get some kind of subscription code that we could possibly give to friends to try the game when it releases? I think it would be a good way to get more people playing.

Also just going out on a limb here, it would be even cooler if once someone used one of your codes it counted as a reference so if they keep playing we get rewarded :wink:

What do you guys think?

    As I have heard it stated, the rewards being cumulative implies that the sub time acquired in each tier is a factor in addition to the previous tier. Meaning Tier 1 = 1 month, while Tier 2 = 3 (1+2) leading up to Lifetime which is a sum of all previous Tiers.

    I get what your saying in terms of a suggestion but I believe that as listed above, this was the teams logic behind it. My thoughts though are that maybe we could see a promotional referral link that when redeemed carried an additional perk (something seen in a vast number of other games) such as game time for both referral and redeemer. Just a thought.

    I love the idea and thought process but it has been stated like Belewyn says that we will not be given the extra subscription time to give away.

    I agree. Any player should be able to refer a friend not just those with lifetime subs. The friend gets a certain amount of trial subscription time and if they eventually pay for their sub, the referer could be given some reward. This has worked really well in other games such as WoW. That's how I got several people into that game, including my wife :o

    Indeed. I was agreeing with Belewyn's suggestion of a slightly modified version of the referral system with additional perks, which works well in many other games.

    I like this sadly I do not have the lifetime sub
