Hidden quests?

  • I'd love to see hidden quests, even though they wouldn't stay 'hidden' for too long since they will go on the internet sooner or later, some unique loot would be nice too :3

I believe in one of the live streams Jeffrey Bard said that some quests may take years to discover.
Yeah that internet part will be a problem, but like @T-Elf said some quest will be hidden for long time, because those are hiding somewhere inside node system. So the system also gives devs a lot of time to implement new hidden quests within time even some are already leaked to the net.
  • I'd love to see riddles of different difficulty, lore that alludes to hidden artifacts, demigods that appear when you do specific things, etc, that will allow you to obtain unique items/skins/decorations/mounts/etc. I think it will be a fun thing that could bring the community together to solve.
  • Applaudable. But unless everything has a meaning and exists for a reason, I dont see it viable.
Random to a player is planned to a dev.

  • I think the riddle idea that @Loyheta mentioned would be really cool to have. The little random quests could serve as clues to the riddles with the end result being something interesting and exciting being brought into the game upon the riddle's completion. Any time you can get a community working together like that, you're only strengthening the game.
  • it's so rare seeing everyone agree for once.

    I agree with you  ;)
  • I honestly think people prefer to have big and small surprises in this day and age were literally everything can be googled or wiki'd within seconds... mostly gone are the days were surprises in games actually surprise anyone. Unless there is a NDA in effect public test game footage or reviews ruin so much of that stuff nowadays. Hell back in EQ when I helped a buddy grind through three months of quests to figure out how make one single damn staff... now that was epic and there was a certain feeling of accomplishment from doing something like that.

But take any achievement in say WoW, the damn achievement listing tells you how to get it!!! where is the fun in that?
