I want to know if there's any way a shapeshifting character would fit in the lore of this game? I love the idea of druids so much.     Unsure if this is the right place for your question or not but they did have those monster coins that allow you to turn into various monsters for certain events?

    I like the druid idea, i have a druid in WoW as well.

    We haven't seen any indication of being able to change into other forms. Maybe when we get an overview of the summoner that will be something they do. The monster coins will be random events that occur that you will be able to queue for, not a change on demand mechanic, and are meant to be rare, especially at the epic change level.

    I can easily and happily see the Druid being a playable class in the future, think it would fit in nicely with the class system we have too. Druid/warrior sounds amaze-balls.

    Maybe druid will end up as one of the class mixes like Summoner/Mage or something rather than a base class.

    It would be cool to see a druid type character that as it levels it can eventually turn into any creature that it has come into contact with, including looking like other players. It would be like having a super high level of sneak in other games. probably would need a time limit on at least some of the transformations then tho...

    @Belewyn, i do believe on one live discussion one asked if there were things in the Game that could change your character such as vampires Etc and they confirmed that there was so you will see something at some point for shape shifting I'm sure

    I hope the monster coins really take off.  it sounds like such a fun way to engage players into taking out each other. :)

    To me druid presents more Celtic priest with some mythical healing powers than WoWs version of shapeshifter. So i would see druid more like combination of cleric/ranger with no powers of shapeshifting, but as healer with some ranger (nature) flavor. 

    However that does not meen that i would not like to see shapeshifting possibility at all. It could work with summoner like some people already mentioned. Even then name shapeshifter or possessed would be more reasonable class name and closer the truth.

    Imo its easy to add abilities which turns some classes to other forms for short perioid of time, but if the shapeshifting would be permanent, then it might need totally new class.
