Yep, yep. That's why I only have a generic title........I couldn't afford the cost of any of the named Skaven characters. :|

    What Cleric?

  • Thoughts....
    I need to know more.
Will it be a Corpse Manipulator?
    Soul Enhancer?
    Flesh Enhancer?

I am hoping for the typical undead minion type.
  • Forgive me for the slightly off topic but have they said if subjob will affect character appearance? Necromancer would be much more satisfying if you had the darker themes robes and staves.

To be honest, I never got the hype for necromancers in any game. Same in this case. I feel like every time it's just supposed to appeal to people who want their character to be as edgy as possible. I hope Intrepid will make it have some actual interesting and nuanced gameplay to it down the road.

I just like the idea of having my own army of skeletons not sure how that makes me edgy

    Same
  • I've always been fascinated by Necromancy in games, it has a ton of potential story wise (Immortality, self growing tireless army etc) and it can be very nuanced and interesting. Not to mention I adore Gothic horror so call me edgy if you want but It's just something I enjoy.

I'm doubtful but It'd love to be able to be more Death/Shadow Knight(y) as that would just give me that last little thing I want (I guess I could wear plate and use a 2 handed weapon as Necro... Just hoping it's a viable option xD )

That in itself I don't see edginess in. But I've seen it a couple of times that there's this forced mysteriousness and darkness, for example in skill names, that doesn't actually give it a genuinely dark feel, but more like a 13 year old writing fan fiction. I'm talking about every other skill having "blood" or "curse" in the name. This circumstance has often turned me away from necromancers.
(And bad AI when it comes to the helpers you spawn.)
Keep in mind that this is just an opinion. And based on it I would actually like to see some sense and purpose for the necromancer option other than just "Spawn stuff that was super DEAD before to make you seem super duper DARK". Like game changing debuffs.

I think there always needs to be balance. If we have a cleric we need a necro, if you can make a paladin you should be able to make a shadow knight.

That being said, there should be some form of opposite to the clerical spells.
