What is going to be your first and second archetype combinations you will try?

Mine will be:
Tank/Summoner - for a monster on the battlefield and to have a partner always with me to either deal damage or assist in protecting my team.

Tank/Bard - to both defend and buff my team so people will think twice before screwing with my team

and yes before the comments roll in I main support in pretty much every game I play :) such as, League of Legends, Tera, Destiny, Last chaos, Smite, and Neverwinter.

This is like asking me what is the back up college my kid is choosing, before it's even conceived.

    Too early to tell.
  • Going in with what you usually play or what sounds interesting is a great place to start though. You can't tell me you haven't thought of some combinations you are looking forward to.
  • Either Fighter/Tank or Fighter/Rogue, depending on the abilities you get from your secondary classes and how they will actually impact PvP.

I guess Fighter/Tank is what I will go for, as defense is usually what DPS classes are lacking. The missing dps you might get from choosing rogue as your secondary class can be made up with a high weapon enhancement.
  • An idea I had that would probably be horrible but hilarious in pvp:

Tank/Rogue or Tank/Ranger just with primary being tank then a dps secondary I think would be utterly ridiculous

Not ridiculous, but certainly annoying to fight against. Does little damage, but still enough so you can't just ignore it. When you try to kill it, it's like fighting against a concrete wall.
  • Too early to tell but knowing what I know at this point, probably Cleric/Cleric maybe Cleric/bard.
  • tbh i always played melee classes, most of my alts are as well in most games.

This time however i will be going for the ranger type and augment it with either rogue elements ... or personal body guard summoner and see how those combo's play.
  • A mage/summoner is something that sounds super annoying as well XD

    A mage that can have a protective partner . . . nope needs to be auto-banned :l
  • I've waited and waited for a game to pull off Spellsword correctly, so I think I'll try Mage + Fighter first of course.

My secondary would need to be an elemental tank of sorts, so Tank + Mage? It sounds like a nice idea. Tank + Summoner seems as though it could be a quirky but effective playstyle too..
  • Mage + Mage

    Mage + Cleric

    Mage + Summoner

  • Rouge / Mage. I'd love to get a teleport augment for some stealth skills, Nightcrawler anyone?
  • First will be tank/cleric so a paladin as for a second character not a single second has been spent thinking about it TBH.
  • Rogue/?
    Mage/?
    Ranger/?

second class totaly depends on the benefits i'll get
  • Going with a Fighter/Rogue combo cause I wanna see if that style could fit my playstyle like a "rogue knight" if you must say but if that doesn't work maybe a Fighter/Ranger or Fighter/Fighter type.
  • Spell Sword!!!!!!

    Fighter/Mage

    Fuck yeah
  • Summoner-summoner
    Summoner- mage
    Summoner-cleric

whatever allows me to play as a necromancer
  • Rogue-rogue
    Rogue-mage
    Rogue-cleric
    Rogue-tank

    and so on xD
  • I've always loved a magic user who mastered the magic of the elements, fire, earth, air, water, the shamans of WoW. As of yet I've no clue what routes you can go down with a have but if I could get that mix that's what I'd strive for.

Will deffo be trying a Cleric/mage too!
  • I suspect mage & Summoner will be a very popular secondary archetype.

I think you may be right still can't wait for some more info on the summoner
  • summoner/bard or summoner/cleric.  I want to be my own band or have my undead minions shamble to my horrible music and tell me it's good anyway.
  • Summoner+Mage
    Summoner+Cleric
    Summoner+Summoner

  • Rogue + Mage
    Mage + Rogue
    Rogue + Summoner
    Summoner + Rogue
  • Monk (Mage+Cleric)
    Paladin(Tank + Cleric)
    Conjurer (Summoner + Cleric)
    Bishop(Rogue + Cleric)
    Healer(Cleric + Cleric)
    You get the point....
  • Rogue/cleric because d&d 3.0 wouldn't let me many years ago.

Ranger/fighter so if I max him out I can sit by a lake and fish while waiting for the stupid to test me in pvp
  • Ranger/Summoner
  • Easy for me pure healer :)
  • Tank + Summoner
    Summoner +Tank
    Could be interesting...
  • First to try will be Summoner/Bard combo mostly to check out how unique summoner will be and at the same time learn the basics + progression. Most likely will main rogue or fighter main archetype, but it's hard to say until we can see the actual skills in alpha. It might turn out that I prefer ranged in this game, hard to tell atm.
  • Summoner-Summoner and then either a tank or a healer or both.
