  • What is the point of having a corruption system if a certain snowflake wants all his kills for free?

There is danger, there is conflict, there is PvP. If you attack a player that currently doesn't wish to PvP, you pay the price in form of PvP. If you want consensual PvP, there will be arenas, battlegrounds, sieges.. you name it.

  • oh boy pvp minigames i love arenas/battlegrounds and the all glorius lag fest of sieges.

@FliP its interesting did you read half the messages on this forum? its not complaining about pvp corruption its complaining about a mechanic in a game that kills the main pvp mechanic of the game now its time for you to stop turn around and read the stuff you didnt read before you join this argument

and if after reading it you still post stuff like this then the thread is lost on you because we are discussing MULES not players :) now please read the thread first

    Cons:
    1. Easy to exploit most of the systems in the game

    2. Needs a bit more Gold sinks to keep the economy more balanced in the current state

3.Risk vs Reward Player vs Player  systems are not worth the risk so pvp will be limited to guild v guild and node siege
    2. Agreed, which is why I am glad they have hired an economist.

    Fixes to some systems:

    1. make it so after so many times a weapon hits 0 durability it breaks which will force people to buy new weapons which will keep the economy in a good state

2.Do not allow movement of resources to be behind a safety net like karma/corruption

ex. If player 1 runs a caravan and pays for his guards to move 10k worth of materials but runs the risk of losing all his mats to bandits/big guild zergs for a very small profit

But player 2 can have player 3-11 of his guild help him carry their resources over to the same town at a longer time but doesnt run the risk of losing his stuff due to the karma system  and get a bigger reward due to lack of resources spent/risk

Now tell me why these two examples are acceptable in a pvp style system aka caravan system

    3. Make gear easier to get for players who join later on a newbie package or some other sort of compensation to bring em up to the current speed will help with this
    1. Disagree, that would make legendaries worthless as they'd break, and as you cannot find another one of them it is useless. The repairing system they have atm makes more sense.

    2. Caravans won't be behind a safety net. Caravans will have a moving PvP zone that flags everyone as combatants.
A player is able to carry about 1/100th of what a caravan can carry, so it is their choice if they want to waste time like that, especially since the distance between nodes will be quite far and take time to walk to.

    3. Why is there a need to make content easier? All it does is cheapen the content. There will be more than enough content for new people as the content of a zone depends on the Node it is in and its Stage. And there will be more Nodes in lower Stages than in higher Stages.

@Ziltch sorry i have reread my post and forgot in my fixes to the system 2. i forgot to mention that it was supposed to be 10 people on mules vs a caravan with its moving pvp zone and i never said the caravan itself was behind a safety net

i was saying that 10 people on mules could move the same amount of resources as a caravan and be much more safe about it
  • Yeah I know, and I already agree that making mules give corruption would lead to some issues in that regard.
