  • I, personally, love the look, combat, and most especially the horse system of BDO. I would really like to see a similar level of detail put into character creation and design, and anatomical accuracy on the player character models.

I'm a little scared of how the combat system in Ashes is looking currently, as it seems pretty clunky in comparison to the fast-paced combo play I've gotten accustomed to in BDO.

I do very much hope that horses and other mounts are more than just transport and collectibles in Ashes as well, I love the challenge of breeding and racing and generally bringing a whole new facet to the game with all the life-skilling that can be done.

Aesthetics aside, I definitely do not want to see the same convoluted and RNG crazed mechanics that make up the majority of BDO. Gear upgrades, failstacking (purposefully failing an enhancement to increase the chance of success, stack sizes go from 1 up to essentially infinity if you have bad enough luck), item drop rates (friends that have played since day 1 of NA release and have yet to get a boss gear drop), and absolutely the pay to win aspect, are all entirely horrid and painful to experience. I'd like to see the cash shop limited almost entirely to cosmetics, and for the love of all thing sensible- a solid, logical, non-sadistic gearing method.
  • I like rep bars.
  • Some quality of life things could be implemented but lots of mmo's allow the hiding of hud's and ect now.

    - The details of the characters and how much you could customize them was amazing, i would just use a system more similar to the sims 4 though, in which you just click and hold with your mouse. Will just add the possibility to separate more the face: in ts4 you can't modify an eye's shape without also modifying the other one as well and it's something instead i'd like to see in aoc.

Ik it's a really small thing but the animation of the character while it was climbing around made me fall in love with exploration. Also i'd like to have a lot of places to explore around

    DONTs
RNG, like if i have a chance of 20% of getting something it will take me ages because im unlucky af but eventually will get it (months after the others ofc, still unfair). I dropped bdo also because of this, i was one of the d1 starters and people that joined 4 months after me had better gear just because of this and i was grinding a lot everyday.

    - Guilds' dominance: in bdo there were those 4-5 guilds that dominated the land, they could literally decide a lot of things on the server. I usually play solo so i'd like to have the chance "to count" on the server even if I'm not part of a guild - small or big.

  • The only thing i can see bdo has and AoC is missing is the fast action combat as you mentioned. But its up to the single person to decide if this is good or bad. The combat of AoC will sure improve from alpha to Beta and so on but if my assessment is right it will never become a fast action combat system like in bdo or in blade and soul for example. I for myself like fast action from time to time cause you can rly get payed for being a pianist on the keyboard but i like more strategic fighting systems as well. Furthermore im getting tired of fast action much quicker .. dont know why.

Ähm and the possibility to increase friendship to npc's . Ye i like that as well would be nice to see something similar in AoC ^^

Yea the combat that BDO and other Eastern MMO's have is unlikely to appear in AoC, tbh that combat is very flashy and anime-like so it wont fit in with AoC, but as you said opinions vary from person to person

That's the wrong subnet mask for a wildcard address of 0.0.0.1...It would actually be 255.255.255.254 for the subnet mask....

    Just saying.

EDIT: Oh and a /31 CIDR notation.
