I'm a little scared of how the combat system in Ashes is looking currently, as it seems pretty clunky in comparison to the fast-paced combo play I've gotten accustomed to in BDO.
I do very much hope that horses and other mounts are more than just transport and collectibles in Ashes as well, I love the challenge of breeding and racing and generally bringing a whole new facet to the game with all the life-skilling that can be done.
Aesthetics aside, I definitely do not want to see the same convoluted and RNG crazed mechanics that make up the majority of BDO. Gear upgrades, failstacking (purposefully failing an enhancement to increase the chance of success, stack sizes go from 1 up to essentially infinity if you have bad enough luck), item drop rates (friends that have played since day 1 of NA release and have yet to get a boss gear drop), and absolutely the pay to win aspect, are all entirely horrid and painful to experience. I'd like to see the cash shop limited almost entirely to cosmetics, and for the love of all thing sensible- a solid, logical, non-sadistic gearing method.
- The details of the characters and how much you could customize them was amazing, i would just use a system more similar to the sims 4 though, in which you just click and hold with your mouse. Will just add the possibility to separate more the face: in ts4 you can't modify an eye's shape without also modifying the other one as well and it's something instead i'd like to see in aoc.
- Ik it's a really small thing but the animation of the character while it was climbing around made me fall in love with exploration. Also i'd like to have a lot of places to explore around
DONTs
- RNG, like if i have a chance of 20% of getting something it will take me ages because im unlucky af but eventually will get it (months after the others ofc, still unfair). I dropped bdo also because of this, i was one of the d1 starters and people that joined 4 months after me had better gear just because of this and i was grinding a lot everyday.
- Guilds' dominance: in bdo there were those 4-5 guilds that dominated the land, they could literally decide a lot of things on the server. I usually play solo so i'd like to have the chance "to count" on the server even if I'm not part of a guild - small or big.

Ähm and the possibility to increase friendship to npc's . Ye i like that as well would be nice to see something similar in AoC ^^
Just saying.
EDIT: Oh and a /31 CIDR notation.
