Pre Order Packs?

I don't understand the pre-order packs available. Say for instance if I get the "intrepid pack" for 500 dollars, does that means I get everything in the packs below it in price? Also what is the 150 dollars worth of embers for?

How many cosmetics are going to be available for purchase exactly? With the "Intrepid" pack you get $150, which seems like a lot of currency for cosmetics but if there is going to be 100 damn skins in the game how can you keep up? Buy another "intrepid pack??? That's not going to happen

Embers = in game store / cash shop for purchasing cosmetics, skins etc.

The packs each state what is included in total within each pack. They are not cumulative in that you get duplicates of the low tier packages.

If you look at the details of each pack they show what items are included in each one. Keep in mind that in purchasing a package, you will also gain access to making future purchases from the cash shop that is exclusive to these packages. Those purchases would be made via Embers the cash shop currency.

In addition to the cosmetic items granted with the Intrepid Pre-Order Pack at the time of purchase, you will also be entitled to purchase future monthly cosmetics as add-ons for the Intrepid Level Pre-Order Pack and below.  Pre-Order Pack cosmetics are only available during the month they are featured, and will never be available again for purchase.  In order to own a Pre-Order Pack's cosmetics, you must either purchase the Pre-Order Pack during the month that the cosmetic is featured or have purchased that level pack or higher in a previous month in order to buy the cosmetic as an add-on.  Kickstarter and Summer Backers will always be able to purchase Pre-Order Pack cosmetics as add-ons.

So you buy your pack for $500, you get all of this months cosmetics along with your key access, and your embers to be used later down the line. Next month the cosmetics in the packs change. You do NOT need to buy your $500 pack again, you still have your key access. But there is a shiny fishman skin that you really want for $20 or 50 embers (whatever the conversion rate is, they will come out the same price dollars/embers). Since you have bought your pack the previous month, you can purchase cosmetics a la carte (separately). If you have never been a KS/Summer/PAX/package backer, you do NOT have the option to purchase cosmetics separately in the lead up to live launch. The cosmetics in the Intrepid packs will change monthly up until live launch.
Disclaimer: We do NOT know that embers will be able to be spent to buy cosmetics a la carte before live launch, pure speculation on my part. Most likely will be clarified Jan 18th, though no guarantees.

@Belle-bot.exe ♡ Woohoo is this confirmed? That the upgrade function for pre-order packages will go live before the next set of cosmetics roll out?
As my hype has grown off the charts I've found myself eager to upgrade my 250$ pack to the 500$ one, without missing the remaining Necromantic cosmetic skins Glad to hear if thats the case, since from Stevens message on Discord I understood the add-on upgrade function will go live at the same time with new cosmetics.
