@Morashtak I am under the impression that it is already heading in that direction. Since it is balanced to group play it going to have to revolve around the effective % chance of how certain builds would win in random engagements. If I had to think about it I would only recommend Path of Exile's forum on character builds. There are efficient builds that can be used or your own builds and so I would expect a lot of min/maxing in this game.
I expect to, if I stick around, to focus on dueling pvp heavy builds and rely on friends to help me level my character up. I already see I am gonna have to get an alt to be able to run raids with people, as I am sure the abilities I would end up having would have negligible use in pve settings
I will still only play one toon and have many mules.
I'm sure some altaholics are creaming themselves and that's cool but it's not my flavor. As a skeptic, I feel AOC will have a slight flare for each skill but the classes won't be so unique.
