Purple and Legendary and God Items
As many as you all know the Colors in Games for items, white, green, blue, purple, yellow, and red.
It would be really cool if items at the status of Purple, would be really hard to Obtain, so people who wants the Max Gear really work hard to obtain it.
Armor Sets, weapon sets, to get a setbuff, character glowing effect (for example like in dragonball "aura")
Maybe they can implent here a "gear plussing system" so higher you plus your gear = so nicer the glowing effect
What i want to try to say is, i saw so many games who gave legendary items so easy to the players, in my opinion this is not the way a mmo should be like
Everyone knows MMORPG's took a lot of gaming time, and i know the first time when i was freshly in a mmorpg and saw a legendary item on a guy i said "woah nice" and after all the years of boring mmo's when somebody had a legendary item i said "hm ok" because you ran the dungeon 1-10x and got it.
Its boring, i mean even the word "Legendary" or the Red ones who are above Legendary should be really hard to get, and when you finally get it, you can be really proud
everyone else here who think the same?

This is shown in many different aspects of the game discussed so far.
You will have the option to specialise and be proud of who/what you become.
You will be exceptionally unique, if not superior in all aspects.
Making progress eternal would be the icing on the cake.
They stress alot how they want things to have meaning so im sure item rarity will be a thing.
If this is the case, I see AoC having 10+ item 'colors', rather than the WoW-clone standard of 6, and the top end items being rare enough that many players won't even see one (let alone own one) for years.
I also hope there is an element of surprise somewhere, not just a recipe-based system... lemme gather all these rare items and then "attempt" to make a sword or a helm of some sort. Like I have the usual items to make a helm, shape it this way, add in the usual schtick and oh hey I got these dragon scales the other day from that raid-level dragon my guild took down in that really neat quest... let's see what happens!
Oh and I really don't plussing stuff. It adds RNG to somewhere it doesn't belong. If they add plussing it should be from being a very skilled crafter and have no RNG aspect.
If I see a crazy awesome weapon that I've never seen before... THAT makes it rare or unique.
If it's glowing blue while it's being wielded - I assume it has a magical enhancement on it. Possibly ice related.
I might be okay if there were colors to differentiate when comparing weapons to what's equipped...
The quality/rarity of items should be in direct proportion to the investment taken to obtain them. Ideally through non random means.

I doubt it will be the last time.
