  • Then maybe people should add more if arguments.

How do u know if dodge wont also affect action combat or if you can build dodge or accuracy stat and AA doesnt need accuracy. AA could then have more of other another stat.

"And the developers could simply make it so that tab-targeted skills have complications that twitch skills don’t."
Even in that example, ure suggesting that AA should have benefits over tab.

No.  I’m saying that if the developers feel there needs balance, there are ways to do it.  I’m not preemptively stating it because I’m waiting to see how the game actually is (the real MMORPG, not the current alpha).  I’m not ignorantly jumping to conclusions based on my own uninformed assumptions about the game. I’m waiting until I actually play the game before I pass judgment, unlike some in this thread.

Ure making an assumption that action combat doesnt also require all of the skill a tab target does.
Ure making an assumption that I'm making that assumption. But I'm not.

Increasing the importance of mouse moving skill decreases the importance of every other skill important for combat.

How is importance of mouse movement decreasing importance of other skills?
Can u give me an example in theory or in practise?

Has everyone decided how it will be released in detail instead of playing out scenarios for discussion?
Were not supposed to force opinions but lay reason for our own opinions and seek reason in the opinions of others.

The way I think about it is if an action-combat player can land all of their skillshots, and understands rotations and fight dynamics, they should be able to beat any non-counter class.

The kicker that has yet to be mentioned: If a player is letting them hit all those shots, they are either doing something wrong, or the devs have made it far too easy to land those shots. Beyond dodge-rolling, proper strafing/positional awareness is extremely important. These skills are not dissimilar to boss fight mechanics in certain games, so I wouldn't think it's too much to ask of players.

Of course, if everything were hitscan, action combat would be flat-out broken. But, Intrepid has shown through the Apocalypse phase that they know how to create a projectile, so we can assume that the corresponding counter-play will be viable against action combat.
