Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

    You can't duel between groups.
    Arenas are extremely restrictive and cumbersome.

    In the talk with Steven it was said that as a non-combatant attacking a corrupt player that they do not get flagged, but then something was said about that corrupted player having friends around that might flag on the non-combatant. That person stays non-combatant, correct? unless he changes? and the point was that the friends can just choose to become corrupted because you killed their friend?

    He was saying that's the reason why non-combatants retain their non-combatant status.

    Is the 'speed' of killing in the BR more or less reflective of what we will see in the MMO ? In most mmo's healers can out heal any damage you deal and have to be focused before you can kill anyone so far in Apocalypse it was fairly simple to kill others, not too quick but it did not take more than a minute either.

    No, the TTK (time to kill) in the BR is designed for a BR. It is designed to test the action combat, hit boxes, hit scan, projectile, etc.

    Got some answers for you. Not all of them, but some

    They are still testing what happens when a caravan gets destroyed.
    One option is that your caravan components are lootable by the people who destroyed your caravan.
    Another option is that your caravan components are lootable only by you.
    No, you can't just "summon it again"

    There isn't a max number of defenders, but you can set a maximum on the number of defenders that get a reward from you. The rest are just doing it to get the system reward for the Defender or Brigand Trees (don't ask I don't have any more information than that)

    Minion based classes. How will pvp work for them. Most summoners in games have their minion do dps and they use CC skills. PvE they usually aggro on your minion. PvP the player instantly targets you.

    That will vary based on class, stats, builds, armor choice, etec.

    The Ashes of Creation MMORPG will have a time-to-kill (TTK) of around 30 seconds to a minute.

    Ok so key strokes. If im a non combatant and i attack a flagged or corrupted player it would be no different than attacking a mob, hover mouse or cross hairs over my target a rip away. If i were a non combatant and chose to attack another non combatant how do i go about this? Will there be some sort of force attack like holding down ctrl while attacking? or like a self buff to flag your self for pvp. Im assuming i wont go purple(or flag) until the damage actually occurs so im gonna rule out the self buff idea.

    Im going to guess there will be some type of transfer pain type passive, toggle or skill where the damage the caster recieves will be split between caster and summon. Of course this isnt official, just my 2 cents : D

    There are a lot of ways to handle flagging. Revelation Online for all its problems had a pretty damn good flagging system.

  • What is Steven's vision for how Crowd Control will be? What does he want and what does he not want? Will it function differently for AoE vs Single Target? Can he please not give stealthers high dmg, high mobility and CC?

    Don't have details of those specifics, those will come in A1 and A2 (Archetypes in A1, Classes in A2)

    But we do know that they do not want CC Chain / Stunlocking to be a thing.
