I mean I have to disagree again. I don't understand why you'd be upset at them offering free and paid cosmetics in the BR when every month there's 400 dollar exclusive cosmetics only to be worn by incredibly rich people. So there so far is no real way to get any of the cosmetics for each month unless you have infinite money to keep buying or upgrading and adding onto your purchases. I think the BR is fine giving cosmetics, it's a chance for people without loads of money to get some cosmetics before the game. Because as I see it level 1 people are going to look like they're end game geared with huge effects and armors and crazy outfits with all the stuff you could purchase already.
I'm confused why you're upset aside from that because I don't see you complaining about the countless of thousands of dollars one would have to spend to be buying all the monthly cosmetics. In your mind is that not a cash grab as well ? There's no requirement for you to play the BR and I'm sure you've probably already bought better cosmetics so I have no idea what you're bitter about.
In a comment I made on another forum post I talked about my opinions on their pricing and definitely lean towards making it cheaper.
"I do think that the cosmetics are quite spendy considering for 3 outfits in apoc that aren't super crazy unique or anything I could turn around and buy a full $60 game and get way more out of it. I do understand that they are items that might be only obtainable in apoc but the monthly cosmetics seem to look much more unique and exclusive for the same price. Oh yea and the mmo is already going to be subscription monthly. -_-
Price the outfits too low however would have tons of people buying them and we all know what it feels like to get an event cosmetic in an mmo and literally everyone has it for the next 3 months. "Whales" as some people call them, or the people that have the money to buy tons of high priced things in games are a very small percentage. Lowering the prices doesn't necessarily mean a big loss in profits with many more people able to purchase them. With the current prices, some people will definitely not have the kind of money to buy them even if they REALLY want it and that in itself is a loss in profits.
Onto a more in depth note. A games longevity could be greatly extended by giving people a less intimidating market and encouraging them to stay around with the hope they can get the next cosmetics they want without feeling afraid their bank will collapse. People satisfied by focusing more on the game than their wallets will definitely spread positive words about the game by mouth. I believe this is one of the primary reasons Warframe has done so well for so long is the existing community knows that if they work hard in-game, they can obtain the things they desire with the option of investing their money into cosmetics at a variety of prices(anywhere from like $3.00 with discount platinum, to tennogen at a set $8 or bundles worth up to $15). These satisfied people have been inviting their friends and talking about the game for years and Warframe has done next to no advertising to bring in these players."
The decision to make a BR and then monenitize it, its a porrly choose cash grab that has now divided the community. If you want to EARN rewards you need to play something that MOST PEOPLE CHOOSE NOT TO BACK. I cant tell if you are a backer or not poko it just says youre a member. Im a backer from Kickstarter so when they spent MY MONEY to make a BR and then NOW WANT ME TO PAY/PLAY SOMETHING I DIDNT BACK ITS FRAUD!!! So yeah alot of us are pissed about this, the only reason is a BR is because of Fortnite/Legends/Pub. They are looking to grab as much $$ from people as possible. Otherwise we would have a playable beta. How much time/effort is the BR now that is 24/7, those resources have to come from someplace, so now instead of them dedicating time on the MMO it will be delayed because they are spending time fixing the SHITE BR.
So @poko @zepharia Clearly people are pissed about it, the Dev team clearly doesnt care what we thing, but I as an INVESTOR have a RIGHT to voice my CONCERN and DISREGARD as to how they are SPENDING MY MONEY.
