I would also like slot machines. Again, allowing the 'house tavern' to vary the payout, perhaps setting the payout average anywhere from 75% - 95% of the amount bet over time.
In Commercial Nodes you might allow the 'house tavern' to be even more greedy, to mimic places like Vegas.
This is the number 1 reason to separate tavern games in ashes from irl gambling as much as possible. Not only would it be less immersive, there are a number of ways it can negatively effect users with vulnerable psycology. That isn't really the problem either though. This person leading them elsewhere is.
Its an easily mitigated problem if you just make giving websites in game difficult (probably already planned) and make the tavern games as Verra feeling as possible to lower the chances of it 'building confidence in gambling ability' or triggering the addictive psychology modern faces are designed to amplify and exploit. This obviously doesn't solve or make the situation impossible. The point is they would be good faith measures to detter most situations from developing into a real problem down the road.
All mildly irrelevant of course as I am pretty sure Stephen is too much of a nerd to not want his own fantasy tavern games being the star of the show tavern game wise given the recent q&a.
This post kind of reads like an add for the linked website.
